Hey! We have configured Cisco ASA Firewall in the eve-ng network simulator. First, we downloaded and installed VMWare Workstation, and then we install eve-ng on it. We imported the Cisco ASA image on EVE-NG using the wget program. Finally, we enable the telnet console for Cisco ASA Firewall. Cisco ASA Virtual Firewall provides almost the same functionally same as hardware model. Even, you can configure it in High-Availability. You will also have support for IPSec, SSL VPN.

Setup:Dell PowerEdge R620 128GB Ram 12 Core server.Vmware ESXI 6.5 Based setup: 1 VM for EVE-NG: 500GB SSD + 32 GB allocated RAM.2nd VM for Windows Server 2016: 100GB HDD + 16 GB RAM.On Windows client, I can access the EVE-NG via Firefox and Putty. I have tried cisco Dynamips images and nodes are starting (I can telnet with putty and change config)

I followed this tutorial: -ng.net/index.php/documentation/howtos/howto-add-cisco-asav/. Since I did not have a qcow2 image, I tried converting the boot.vmdk file(see above imgur link) to qcow2 via " qemu-img convert -O qcow2 boot.vmdk virtioa.qcow2"

I then moved that qcow2 file to /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/asav9-12-3-9/virtioa.qcow2. The eve-ng tutorial said to run the command " guestfish -a virtioa.qcow2 " and then "run" in the sub-command prompt.

The installation process can be quite complex and may pose difficulties when trying to install images. To overcome this issue, you can opt to download the full pack of eve-ng and proceed with installation on your system. Once installed, you can easily run network scenarios without any hassle.
