When we insert an app frame (with a white background) into Jam (white), at scale, our design becomes indistinguishable due to the white background of the board itself, and this cannot be changed.

Please add Background color setting to the FigJam board.

To Figma team developer I want a feature for the Figjam file ( drawing feature ) I want the feature to change the background to dark color because when I drawing something at night if Figjam has this feature dark color its will so good for my eyes.

Another approach for this would be making the canvas background transparent, but it is not working on my case. Is there a way to make the stage background picture transparent and using a screen background image to obtain a similar result?

Of course, the goal is to have an app that can save marks (canvas sprites) on different spots (the spots will be chosen from a blueprint). The main objective is to show the progress made during the construction of the project based on the blueprint. If you want, I can share the project. Greetings

I have a canvas that needs a graphical background using custom images of various sizes, but I want to bind the height and width of the background image to some properties somewhere. right now I have an image displaying as background but its size is fixed. It turns out that the width and height property of the image and of the imagebrush is readonly. Is there anyway to bind the width and height?

p.s I have tried viewport, but it uses a rect object and its width and height are not dependency properties. Then I tried to use one tile of the viewport and put it in a rectangle then I can resize the rectangle to achieve what I want but I cannot figure out how to put a rectangle as the canvas's background. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance.

I have set a canvas' background to an image of a company logo. I would like for this image to be aligned to the bottom right corner of the canvas.

Is it possible to do this, or would it require for the image to be added into the canvas as a child? That would not work with this program as all children of the canvas are handled differently.

In the two example plugins underneath here you can see how you can draw a color or image to the canvas as background. This way of giving the chart a background is only necessary if you want to export the chart with that specific background. For normal use you can set the background more easily with CSS (opens new window).

Great request; I was looking for the same. Use case is the same logic as preview mode for notes. A cleaner version of the canvas primarily for viewing/reference as opposed to editing. And of course hiding on export is an obvious use case as well.

I have created a gradient, and wish to make it the background color of the canvas, but the canvas doesn't work with it. the rectangle which I drew to ensure the validity of the gradient works just fine however. What is wrong here, can you simply not make a background color a gradient?

I just need to be able to make sure that I can get the prefab on the screen and not behind the background. When I have done that I will just push it in from a script, as I have already managed to make all of the animations work for it.

I made the convas background color = read and the wallpapper color = green, please see below. I do not understand what is the green area is used for? I can not move any visual in that area, then why the wallpaper is not the same as convas background area? Thank you so much.

Thanks for your reply. I do not understand why we have that small area (the green area in my first screenshot). Why we have that when I can not move any visual(s), image, textbox etc there. Technically both wallpaper and canvas are the same (in term of real estate point of view) if we can not use that geen area. If that is the case then why we have both of them? Thank you again.

The scope of their work is different. Wallpaper is larger than canvas background (In other words, wallpaper could contain canvas background). Wallpaper works on the display area(the red one) and canvas background works on visual area(the black one).

I am rendering a scene that has lot of trees. The leaves of trees use alpha cutoff. But the funny thing is the color of the edges of leaves seems could be affected by the background color of the canvas.

Yes, it seems that the browser composes the background color with objects that have an alpha value lower than one. Even if the object is in front of an opaque one. This can be avoided when the material of the front object is transparent although the visual result is different compared to not applying { alpha: true } to the renderer.

^ And I would like to do this through WebGL, but I cannot find a straightforward or simple example of setting a WebGL background. The closest to this I can find is this SO post containing about 80 lines of code and missing variable references but I suspect it's a lot more complicated than what I'm trying to do here. After a few hours of looking into this and not being able to really find anything on it (or not knowing the right term to look for) I figured I'd be better off just asking.

I just want to paint a WebGL Canvas with a PNG's data at it's original size, like a background. I don't want to animate it or mux images or anything more complicated than that. Is there a straightforward way to do this? My current 2D Canvas method is below, any help would be appreciated and I don't care if answers aren't typescript for the record:

I was trying to change the canvas extension color for the background to white. In my photoshop, default background extension color has set to black. Is there any way to change that default black color to white?

Typically, most canvases in your design will be set by default to a solid color option. Some canvases may utilize a canvas background image to create a visual impact with something like a large hero image. If you see an image on a canvas that takes up the entire canvas and which you cannot click to select, that is likely a canvas background image.

By default your canvas backgrounds will likely be synced. You can adjust the settings on your mobile and desktop designs independently using the Split/Merge function. To do so, simply hover over the Media Type or Fill options and then click on the three dots to the right of that option. Then click Split Mobile and Desktop in the drop down that appears.

If you use AD you could make a global spot colour as white and draw a background box filled with any colour you want to indicate the plastic. Before exporting to PDF hide the background and when exporting make sure "Honour spot colours" is ticked. The white should then separate okay - it looks okay in Output Preview.

Thanks. Yes, of course I can create a background layer with a color; but that's pretty lame because you have to hide it before exporting. Usually you can specify a color for the background medium; colored paper, for example.

Anyway... I might, for example, be printing on off-white paper. Why can't I set the background to simulate that? It's a simple request and a feature that's available in other applications. Corel Draw has it, and Illustrator apparently (but half-assedly) offers a few background grey levels (based on threads about the issue).

Never before had a problem, before I upgraded I would set the secondary color to the desired background, then could easily do all the modification on the canvas size with ease, now either have to fill or select/cut each image.

But their don't seem to be any consistency if I resize the canvas on a transparent image I get white and transparent if the background is white, this looks more like a bug to me rather then the intended.

Here's what I did & it works great.

Use a good steaming Iron.

The background should mounted(standing). Put the iron on the hotest setting

filled with water, & steam away. 2 or 3 steam bursts in 1 area removes

the creases fast.

I figure I can also use this for my muslin backgrounds... There seem to be two varieties of steamers. Full size ones which cost $100-125 and travel steamers which are much less expensive. I opted for this travel steamer at $14 including shipping.

Looks OK. Did you change the canvas color before taking the screenshot? And could you also post screenshots from the color picker for when the canvas color is being edited and the main Glyphs window when the canvas color changed.

Hi Florian, If I set the canvas colour this way, both foreground and background have the same colour. I want the foreground to be white and the background something different, so that I have a visual clue to where I am editing.

In general, defaults set via the Macro Panel stick around. But, they are not as future-proof as options that have progressed to get their own UI. This is how new options are often introduced: As a hidden user default first so that people can try and if it proofs to be generally useful, it should get a UI sooner or later. The same applies to the background layer color.

Hi,

I am using canvas where I am trying to color format a metric background : color1 if value=0, color2 if value between 0 and 7, and color3 if value >7 . I looked into several answers here (and also looked at the docs) but the code is not working for me.

What kibana version are you using? Is it possible there are some filters that are being applied to the expression in the backgroundColor that aren't being applied in the main part of the expression that returns the number?

Hi, thanks for your reply! I am using kibana 7.14, and the only filter I have is a dropdown from which I can select, for instance a country. what I am attempting to do is to have 3 metrics next to each other (as if they were just one bar) with country name, average score and number of observations. Then when I select a country from the dropdown, if the number of observations is less than for instance 7, the background will change to gray, and the average scores and number of observations as well (so the values are hidden). I can't share my data, but the full code looks like this: ff782bc1db
