LOBs can be stored as basicfiles or securefiles. Basicfiles are the old way of storing these segments, the recommended way of storing LOB segments is now securefile. The main reasons for this would be performance, additional features and security. So it is really recommended in case you still have LOB segments stored as basicfiles, to convert them into securefiles. This can be done easily, as a reorganization option via brtools.

It is possible to check the LOB segments that are not stored as secure LOBs via the command:

We are able to run brtool db checks directly on the database. Checked brtools permissions, oracle permissions (OPS$ORACLE) are ok, etc and everything looks fine. the SAPPROF directory contains the brtools profile and empty oracle profile. Reviewed SAP note 1598594 and we have this working on other systems, so we're not sure what the issue is. Other than this, the system is up and running fine. Any ideas?

SAP Note 2178980 describes the technical details you need to get use Oracle In-Memory with SAP. You are recommended to use a 7.40 kernel or higher to get the full benefits, which means Enhancement Package 7 for ERP 6.0.
