When we decided to get married in Italy, we knew we would need a phenomenal wedding planner. I am used to New York/London levels of service and efficiency and am a very detailed oriented person. Brenda was the absolute best of Italian and New York wedding planners combined. She is wedding planning perfection.

So they spent all that time and money on a wedding and decorations and the only people to really enjoy all of that are the people that put the decorations out and the couple that was going to get married!? How much does this make sense?

They will be getting married in Wenatchee and we are so honored to be their chosen photographers! We love visiting that area and always make it a mini vaca when we have weddings there :)! This will be the third one.

Sergio and Brenda came all the way to Tacoma for the engagement session and brought along past wedding clients (friends) with them, so it was great seeing them too! Then just a couple of weeks ago we did another wedding for this group of friends, but that one was here instead of Wenatchee. I will be posting that wedding soon.

Brenda and Ty, thank you so very much for including us in your special day. It was an honor to photograph your wedding and to get to know you both. We are going to miss you terribly as clients but will enjoy so much watching how your marriage flourishes in the future. We wish you all the happiness and joy for many years and hope you enjoy this sneak peek as much as we have!

I was truly spoiled with this wedding. A Charro theme wedding! OMG, yes please and to top it at the gorgeous San Juan Bautista Mission. After mass wedding guests headed over to Paicines Ranch where a true Mexican celebration awaited them. From Mariachi to authentic Mexican food and drinks to live Bandas these guests made me feel jealous in true fashion that I was not a guest, lol. This has to be one of my favorite weddings of all time. I felt it very dear to my heart since I was raised in this charro scene, my grandfather was the president of the association of charros of our hometown and I would always make an appearance on the horses in parades with a gorgeous escaramusa dress. Oh the dear memories.

The ceremony was very memorable as we watched them walk down the aisle together and exchange their vows with the Yosemite Valley in the background. We were all a little emotional as they exchanged their vows, Even Reverend Tan got a little teary!

After the ceremony we took the adventurous couple out for portraits, one of our favorites being inside the stone watchtower with views of the valley and mountains behind them. We eventually made our way to the reception where the guests gave some great toasts, ate some tasty hors-devours and wedding cake and helped the couple celebrate their union.

In 1979, Brenda married Ed Stanfield and spent the rest of her life in Maryland, although a piece of her heart always stayed in Kentucky. After raising a family and teaching for 42 years, she retired and spent much of her time with her granddaughter, Ava Allen and her dog, Bingo. While her newest grandson, Frederick Crews Stanfield (10 weeks old), did not get to know his Nana, he will be blessed with many stories of her for years to come.

Brenda loved her family, she loved teaching, she loved traveling, she loved to read, and she loved Elvis. She tirelessly supported her children and husband while working and navigating the overlapping and conflicting schedules of her four kids. She was never happier than when her whole family was together and she especially loved decorating the Christmas tree as a family. Brenda loved teaching, even when it was difficult; she spent most of her career at West Frederick Middle School and often stayed late into the evening to tutor students, complete her grading, and prepare for the next day's lessons. Brenda traveled on her own during and after college and traveled across the country and world with her husband. The highlights of their travels include a whirlwind tour of Europe for their 25th wedding anniversary, a trip to Costa Rica, panning for diamonds at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas, and a river tour up the Yangtze River in China. Brenda was a voracious reader and her home was filled with books. She loved all genres but had a special place in her heart for 'Pride and Prejudice.' For several decades, she attended a monthly book club with many of her best friends, which was her favorite night out on the town every month.

Brenda is survived by her husband Ed, her children Eddie, Katrina, Kevin (Dana), and Jeremy Stanfield (Sophie Chen), her grandchildren Ava and Freddie, and her siblings Larry Crews (Jan Miles), Pam Klopfenstein, and sister-in-law Lois Crews. Donnie, Brenda's brother, passed in 2022. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Imagine not only coming for vacation but also celebrating one of the most special days of your life in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Dominican or DR like is often called, has some of the best beaches in the world and some awesome wedding locations. Whether you get married in an all inclusive resort or you look for an outside venue, you will be able to plan your wedding to the last detail and enjoy it to the last glass of champagne.

When you think of the perfect restaurant by the beach, what do you imagine? Beautiful decoration, palm trees and plants, the beautiful view of the clear blue ocean water, a pool maybe. Well, we just described a little part of everything that Kukua is.

We were both dead set on eating out meal instead of people clanking there dinnerware, so we had a game take place before dinner where people would have to come up to our sweetheart table. The effect was the same, but it gave us a chance to interact with more guests as well!

I fell in love with my dress because it made me feel like a princess. It had 3/4 length sleeves that I loved (even for a July wedding). I loved the lace top with the train bottom and where it cut on the waist. I ended up having a sparkly band added to the waist that gave the dress the perfect amount of sparkle.

Do not sweat the small things or even some of the bigger things. Something is bound to go wrong or not go according to plan, but focus on why you are getting married and the true reason for the special day. The power went out the night before at our venue due to a big rainstorm, our plan for beach front pictures was rained out, but we still had the best day AND amazing pictures.

Working with Brenda Hoffman Photography was amazing! We did out engagement photos with her too so it was nice to already have a working relationship. She was flexible with all the hiccups of the day, the rule of the church, and the low lighting at the venue. It was a long, hot day and Brenda kept her professionalism. She was able to get amazing shots outdoors, even with all the rain. Our pictures from our engagement session and our wedding day are amazing and capture the feelings between us!

The whole day was such a whirlwind it is hard to pick just a few. Our first look was memorable because it got rid of all the little nerved before the ceremony. We had a party bus take the bridal party from the Church to the reception and it was a nice way to unwind with some of our closest friends. Our entrance into the reception was super memorable because when we walked in all our family and friends were smiling and cheering. In addition, we snuck out for some sunset pictures in the woods towards the end of the reception. It was nice to have a few seconds just us and we got some of our favorite pictures from it.

Any advice to those that are planning their wedding?

I know everyone says this but take some time alone with each other on the day of the wedding. It goes by in a flash. We really wish we stopped for a second.

You only have one chance to make it the best wedding possible. You don't get a do-over. Isn't the amount of your investment and happiness worth it? Of course it is. So my questions to you are 1) Exactly what's in your toolbox? 2) Ever had to deal with an issue that caught you off guard? 3) How did you handle it? 4) What did you learn from it? I'm asking you these questions to assist you in assembling the most complete toolbox for your wedding related events.

My intent is not to compete with or replace the services that a Wedding Event Planner or a Day of Coordinator is designed to provide to you. I believe that there is enough business out there to go around. My goal is to equip you and the various members on your teams with insight allowing for optimal management of unforeseen events that occur 1) prior to your event(s), 2) during your event(s), and 3) after your event(s). Ultimately you and the persons committed to paying for your events are the only ones responsible for ensuring that you get what you pay for. I just want you to be fully prepared. Let me help you learn from my personal experiences as a recent Mother of the Bride.

I am here to alert you to the things that can go wrong and prepare you to have a plan B ready to activate if you need to. Prevention is the key which means that you should purchase and read my book prior to hiring or contracting with vendors/venues.

My book, combined with a Wedding Event Planner and/or a Day of Coordinator, makes a great tag team. We are not competing with one another but complimenting one another. I care and so do they. Your copy of Mother of the Bride awaits you. Sincerely, Brenda Tucker-Jeffries, Wedding Strategist. 152ee80cbc
