Yesterday and before BlueMail worked fine but now is completely unresponsive. No mouse clicks or key presses are doing anything. I have restarted the app and the computer many times. I have even downloaded BlueMail and installed over the top. Install said BlueMail was running and needed to be closed, I said ok and it did. No change at all. BlueMail starts up and goes to the inbox and the most the top email on the list and just hangs. I have had to access this email account using webmail to see new emails. The email it starts on has actually been deleted from the email server so apparently BlueMail is not syncing with the server either. I cannot change email accounts, go to settings, nothing. No mouse clicks do anything.

I have emailed BlueMail help yesterday morning and have not gotten any response.

I installed Bluemail a few days ago through snap. It works like a charm except for one thing : whenever I try to save an attached document to an email I have received, the window that pops up (which is supposed to allow me to chose where the file should be saved) is unreadable : all the letters it contains in the folder names are replaced by small square symbols, making it impossible for me to navigate through my folders.

Folders created by your mail provider are called system folders. When using an IMAP account, these cannot be changed or deleted unless you do so with your provider. Here are some examples of system folders:

Please note that currently, only emails arriving in the Inbox will trigger a notification. Notifications for folders other than the Inbox is on our roadmap and may be released in the future.

Try the caldav link in the bottom left of the calendar app.

Generate a one time password.

Since bluemail does not appear to be open-source you might want to ditch it for a different client. Good luck.

I am running into the same issue and have only recently installed Bluemail to try it out. I also tried integrating to Zimbra Calendar with the same issue. I used an alternate open source Caldav client (Opensync) to test things and it connected correctly and was able to synch my calendar.

November 2023 - Bluemail still asks for the wrong directory. However, setting up an alias in the Apache configuration will help:

Alias /nextcloud/remote.php/dav/nextcloud/remote.php/dav/ /var/www/nextcloud/remote.php/dav/

(When your nextcloud lives in /var/www/nextcloud). Naturally, mod_rewrite could help you as well.

The app offers a range of features to its users, but certain limitations may cause users to seek alternative options. Users seem to have issues like Email Mailbox not loading and problems receiving mail from specific users.

There are a plethora of email clients and services available on the internet, and it can be overwhelming to evaluate them all. To make your search easier, we have curated a list of some of the best alternatives that can provide a better email management experience.

Thunderbird is a free and open-source email client developed by the Mozilla Foundation. Known for its versatility and customization options, it supports diversified email protocols and services.

One of the notable features of Thunderbird is its flexibility.

Users can personalize their email experience through several add-ons and extensions, such as themes, language packs, and some additional functionalities. This feature makes it a popular choice among users who prefer to tailor their email clients to their needs and preferences.

Zoho Mail is an Email App developed by Zoho Corporation to give businesses an efficient communication solution. It offers several features to help users organize and manage their emails. One of the key features of Zoho Mail is its integration with other Zoho applications, such as Zoho CRM and Zoho Projects, which enables users to seamlessly manage their emails, contacts, and tasks in one place.

ProtonMail is an open-source email client developed by the Swiss company Proton AG. It is designed to provide users with a high level of privacy and security, and is known for its end-to-end encryption and zero-access architecture. It utilizes client-side encryption to protect emails and user data before they are sent to Proton Mail servers.

Although ProtonMail provides users with a secure emailing experience, some users may find other options listed above to be more user-friendly. The free plan of ProtonMail has limited features and users may need to upgrade to a paid plan to access additional features. It is important to note that ProtonMail allows only a limited number of email address integrations in premium plans and only a single email in the free one.

When selecting an email client, it is crucial to consider multiple factors such as preferences, tech habits, communication needs, and willingness to experiment. Security should also be a top priority to ensure reliable email management.

The ideal email client should be an effective tool for managing your inbox and keeping you organized. While various options are available, Canary Mail has been known to offer a superior feature set and functionality compared to its peers.

Errors such as 'cannot connect to server' appear or the 'syncing' status just buffers. Even when, on occasion, the status changes to 'connected' and the sync time updates no recent emails are received.

Bluemail is now completely unable to access Plusnet Mail, but to help anybody else having this problem, I have had to ditch Bluemail app altogether and change to K9. The UI is not quite as nice but the interaction with Plusnet Mail is faultless.

Thanks Townman. Bluemail is supposed to be quite a popular mobile phone email app but clearly not so with Plusnet clients! I have used it for years and have been very happy until this Plusnet specific issue arose. e24fc04721
