The Blood Connection offers a $500 scholarship per blood drive to students who host OFF-SITE blood drives when school is not in session (winter & summer breaks). The blood drive must collect at least 30 blood donations. This is for current high school and college students.

It is extremely important for me to give blood. In 2012, my dad, an Army veteran, was diagnosed with a blood disorder. Between the blood transfusions and the good Lord above, I was able to get a 3-month goodbye. My dad was the one that convinced me to start donating blood.

Since I was 14 years old, I have coordinated blood drives to combat the blood shortage. My grandfather suffered a heart attack and blood transfusions saved his life. The Blood Connection has allowed me to make a difference and helped me save over 1,200 lives in my community.

There are many appointments available for the blood drive on September 25 - 27, 2023 from 10:30am - 5:30pm. While we encourage making an appointment, you can still walk-in to make a donation. Help save lives in our community by partnering with LifeServe Blood Center to regularly host blood drives at your business, church, school or community organization. A LifeServe Blood Center representative is ready to work with you to plan and organize a blood drive for you and your sponsor group.

Lakeway Community Blood Drives are held from 8 a.m. through noon, on the third Saturday (usually) of every odd month, at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. Blood collected at these drives is dedicated for use in the 10-county area in and surrounding Travis County.

To be eligible, donors need to be in good health, at least 17 years old and weigh 115 pounds or more for whole blood donations. Photo identification is required, and a good meal beforehand is highly recommended.

Blood and platelet donors can save time at their next donation by using RapidPass to complete their pre-donation reading and health history questionnaire online, on the day of their donation, before arriving at the blood drive. City of Hope's Blood Donor Center continues to monitor the impact of COVID-19 on our blood supply as well as that of other suppliers. There is no substitute for donated blood. During this critical time, City of Hope is requesting that if your company or organization has access to an inside location that we could use to set up blood collection, please consider contacting us to coordinate a possible inside set-up/blood drive. We are not taking our bus/bloodmobile unit into the community at this time.

During blood drives, we are following all Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines around physical distancing by maintaining 6 feet apart or more in between each donor bed, during registration and at our cookie and juice station during postdonation.

The Holiday Carolina Blood Drive is celebrating 25 years! The Employee Forum and American Red Cross are thankful for the generosity of blood donations and time from the of 575 donors and 110 volunteers who helped the 35th annual Carolina Blood Drive a success. Thanks to each student, staff, faculty & community member who participated, we collected 556 units of lifesaving blood. We also appreciate the 172 first-time donors who supported this longstanding community event.

The American Red Cross is excited to introduce RapidPass, a new tool that allows blood donors to help save lives in less time. RapidPass offers donors a way to complete their pre-reading and donation questions online from the comfort and privacy of their home or office, reducing the time they spend at blood drives by as much as 15 minutes.

To make a blood drive successful volunteers are needed to assist in various areas. Volunteers can sign up for more then one time slot. If you chose to sign up for more then one slot please make sure you are able to keep your commitment.

RWJUH Blood Services is here to help you every step of the way. We'll ensure a seamless process, giving you the tools to market your blood drive, recruit donors and prepare the location. Our dedicated blood drive mobile team can travel to most places throughout our state to run a blood drive on behalf of one of our patients.

Sometimes, running a blood drive is not an option, so we also offer the convenience of a fixed-site Donor Center on the campus of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) New Brunswick. We would be happy to help you promote this option and even assign a unique code so we can track donors that come in to support your loved one. Our Donor Center has convenient hours. The Donor Center is large enough to hold several donors at one time, so patients' family and friends can make individual appointments that meet their schedules.
