Trust me I've looked everywhere I can think of trying to find this answer. Any ideas? I'm simply trying to track a new audio track. Soooo frustrating. Please see below some info, plus a couple of pics.

This looks like your input is not set correctly or the signal is not getting to your audio interface. If you don't see any meter movement when input echo is on and armed for recording then nothing is going to get recorded. You need to track down where your signal is coming from and where it is failing. Did the Rode mic come with any software to monitor its input?

I've been noticing that my lyrics have been off tempo. not because of my cadence, because of band lab speeding up my audio recording, throwing the song offbeat. I can hear cracks and glitches when I played the song back. I also know that it is not a mic problem because I recited the lyrics into the Microsoft voice recorder and it played it back perfectly. I don't know if this is a bug or on my end but I know that my equipment has not been tampered with over the last few weeks. can someone please help cause tonight was a struggle with recording my lyrics. and it was very unsatisfying

Swipe down to activate a row of loops and one shots. Tap to stop a loop, or change to a different loop per row. Once you find an arrangement you like, tap record. Note that Looper records a single audio track.

So last couple if days I've been having a clipping issue on bandlab where I get on to a project and when everything sounds normal (Sometimes I get into a project and it's ear pirecingly loud. This is solved by exiting the window and going back into the project until it not Choppy, note that exiting till the audio is normal takes multiple times.), i press record and my recording is choppy, and all audio tracks turn choppy. I've never had this problem before until now. I usually exit out the window before opening a new project so everything sounds normal (and because it's a web page). But I've never encountered this and at this point, I already started looking for a new DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) and I really don't want to because Bandlab is very easy to use. If anyone has any suggestions i'd be very happy to take them.

As an old Cakewalk and Sonar user, I am wondering if it is possible in this new Bandlab edition of the software to add an external audio editor such as Sound Forge under the "utilities" menu for Quick editing of wave files? I have searched but have not been able to find anything covering this topic.

I cannot find a section in the preferences to set the directory of an external audio editor. Reading the reference manual there is an option in Cakewalk.ini - ToolTempFileDir. But I can't seem to get it to work.

I realized this as I stumbled upon this:

I manually edited the registry, and while doing so I remembered that this is the way we were doing it back in the days aswell!

BandLab Mastering is a free online audio mastering service that all works via a web page or mobile app. BandLab Mastering lets you upload music unlimited tracks of under 15 minutes in length, and then experiment with the four preset mastering settings it offers. The software was made with world-class artists and engineers and designed with GRAMMY-winning multiplatinum collaborators such as Mandy Parnell, Mike Tucci, Maria Elisa Ayerbe, Justus West, and Will Quinnell.

If I already have my audio files, I can add the recordings to BandLab by clicking and dragging them into the workspace from my documents folder (or wherever you saved your files). You can also import files one at a time into each track, but if you drag multiple files at once, BandLab will create a new track for each file.

With the lightning speed of both web apps and web content delivery only getting faster, it was simply a matter of time before a truly online, cloud-based DAW became a reality. While many manufacturers of Digital Audio Workstations are beginning to integrate some basic cloud features, BandLab (www.bandlab.com) is a DAW that was truly built from the ground up in the cloud. I checked them out at NAMM 2017 and spent some time trying out their service both at the show and once I got back to AskAudio East Coast HQ, and what I found was nothing less than spectacular.

The HD500 can serve as the AI - just connect it via USB to your PC. Use Cakewalk by Bandlab as your recording program. You will need to download and install the Line 6 driver for the HD500 (see Downloads button at the top of this page). Cakewalk should automatically recognize the Hd500 and its ASIO driver for audio purposes but you may need to configure this manually.

BandLab is a free digital audio workstation capable of sequencing, recording, editing, mixing, sharing, and publishing audio projects. The most identifiable strengths of this program are related to its accessibility. As a cloud-based program, it can be used online with a browser from any device that can connect to the internet (Google Chrome recommended). It includes a novice-level user interface, and it contains some unique features that may also appeal to music production specialists. In my own work as an educator, I have used it with K-12 music teachers, college professors, and music production majors.

BandLab is an excellent low-tech solution for audio and music production. It has an extensive library of factory loops and an intuitive drum machine that are well suited for beginning composition and arranging projects. The sequencing capabilities are comparable to desktop programs, allowing users to perform with virtual instruments in real-time on the computer keyboard, an external MIDI controller, or through entering in notes manually. Recording audio is quick and simple with the built-in microphone or an external microphone connected to an audio interface. There are even specialized audio tracks designed to handle live input from guitars and basses complete with built-in tuners.

It is easy to produce a professionally sounding finished product in BandLab. There are a number of standardized effects that can be applied individually or through multi-effect presets (e.g. blues warmth, major grunge, deep space). While production specialists will miss the control of a dedicated mixing interface and the ability to apply automation to any parameter, it is possible to export stems (individual tracks as separate audio files) to process elsewhere. Mastering is limited to three settings after the mixdown is complete (CD Quality, Bass Boost, Enhance Clarity). While this level of production is adequate for the novice and intermediate user, some may want to mix outside of BandLab.

The most appealing features of this program are related to the flexible nature through which users can interact with each other. Artists can invite anyone to join and collaborate synchronously or asynchronously within a session. Once a track is finalized, it can be published and shared with a community of over 18 million BandLab users. Each artist has a personalized feed to which they can post comments, share audio, follow others, and create playlists. There is also an education account, ideal for children under thirteen. Teachers simply create a classroom page and invite students to join. Once in the classroom, students can use all of the production features behind this closed wall, but their information is not shared and they cannot use the social functions (COPPA compliant).

BandLab Technologies was founded in 2015 by Kuok Meng Ru and Steve Skillings. Kuok was a Singaporean mathematics graduate from Cambridge University who is the son of agribusiness conglomerate Wilmar International's billionaire founder and CEO Kuok Khoon Hong, and Skillings was the developer of the JamHub audio mixer.[3] Kuok was also the owner of music retailer Swee Lee, acquired in 2012.[4] BandLab Technologies' first product, a Cloud Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) called BandLab, was released in November 2015.[3]

In July 2016, the company acquired Composr, an iOS app for recording audio and making music. The app and its users were integrated into BandLab.[3] In September, the company acquired MONO Creators Inc, an American manufacturer of instrument cases, straps and accessories.[5] Also in September, BandLab Technologies acquired 49% of iconic American music magazine Rolling Stone from publisher Wenner Media.[6]

In February 2018, BandLab Technologies acquired digital audio workstation Sonar from musical instrument company Gibson, after Gibson acquired and closed Sonar's developer, parent Cakewalk.[10] Sonar was renamed Cakewalk by BandLab.[11] In October, the company acquired brands including The Guitar Magazine and MusicTech from UK-based publisher Anthem Publishing.[12]

As a collaborative social music service, BandLab was experiencing a phenomenal rate of growth and needed to upgrade its storage and accessibility. With 15 million users producing more than half a billion audio files, plus tens of thousands of new users joining daily, BandLab sought to move beyond its existing cloud storage provider and find one that was scalable, reliable, and easy to use. Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) turned out to be the solution BandLab needed, as it delivers scalable, secure, and reliable cloud storage, with a range of storage classes that helped the company optimize costs as it rocketed toward 26 million users by the end of 2020. 2351a5e196
