Assetstore in unity is one of its main strength , not only it boosts the development process alot , it also allows developers to focus on building main stuff, i never really cared much about particle system , just because i can grab some from assetstore and they were way better than i could ever make by myself. Same goes for complex system .for many assetstore dev, it was also a way to fund their own game. I am really happy , they are bringing assetstore for godot now. ?

I am working on a tool that I want to now publish to the AssetStore. However, I ran into an issue. I want my tool to be imported into a 'Packages' folder. I have a root folder where in that folder there is a package.json file and another folder where inside there are all the tool files. These files are some images and precompiled dll files.I also have a special folder 'Editor Default Resources' folder inside the Assets folder, where inside I have a subfolder where I store some easy-to-access editor resources.

Next day I had the inspiration to look in what my firewall blocks from the programs,and if any of the unity programs have any access,I was surprised to see that unity editor and other unity have no access to internet but have local permission,I have put allow access to all unity programs (only 2 of them)and surprise surprise,asset store worked.

The Unity plugin is now included as part of another package. The plugin has been removed from the store, and Plastic SCM is now available through the Version Control package.You can just install the Version Control package via the Package Manager to get the PlasticSCM plugin.Regards,Rafael.

I think the best place is the unreal and unity asset stores. For the unity and unreal asset store the model is reviewed and inspected by the 3d team of the game engine. This makes the asset store trusted source for stock models.
