@rise_wallet is one of the most exciting projects being built on Aptos right now. Founded by the team behind one of the most used wallets on Solana @solflare_wallet, Rise promises a new wallet experience for users on the Aptos ecosystem.

The public Mainnet RPC is sensitive to many requests from the same source, and will sometimes temporarily block you even if you don't spam requests but use your wallet normally (every time you view your portfolio, wallet management, NFTs, activity etc. many RPC requests are sent)

The wallet standard provides guidelines for interoperability between wallet types. This ensures dapp developers do not need to changetheir applications to handle different wallets. This standard offers a single interface for all dapp developers, allowing easy additions of new wallets and more users to each application. This interoperability allows users to choose which wallet they want without worrying about whether apps support their use cases.

A mnemonic phrase is a multiple word phrase that can be used to generate account addresses.We recommend one mnemonic per account in order to handle key rotation better.However, some wallets may want to support one mnemonic to many accounts coming from other chains. To support both of these use cases, the Aptos wallet standard uses a Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP44) to derive path for mnemonics to accounts.

This is not recommended because the one-mnemonic-to-many-accounts paradigm makes it harder to handle rotated keys (the mnemonic changes for one account but not others).However, many wallets from other ecosystems use this paradigm, and take these steps to generate accounts

More important than account creation, is how wallets connect to dapps. Additionally, following these APIs will allow for the wallet developer to integrate with the Aptos Wallet Adapter Standard. The APIs are as follows:

The connection APIs ensure that wallets don't accept requests until the user acknowledges that they want to see the requests. This keepsthe user state clean and prevents the user from unknowingly having prompts.

Allows a dapp to sign a message with their private key. The most common use case is to verify identity, but there are a few other possible usecases. The user should be prompted for approval. You may notice some wallets from other chains just provide an interface to sign arbitrary strings. This can be susceptible to man-in-the-middle attacks, signing string transactions, etc.

Aptos has support for both single-signer and multi-signer accounts. If the wallet is single-signer account, there is exactly one signature and bitmap is null. If the wallet is a multi-signer account, there are multiple signature and bitmap values. The bitmap masks that public key that has signed the message.

Decentralized applications often run through a browser extension or mobile application to read on-chain data and submittransactions. The Aptos Wallet Adapter allows for a single interface for apps and wallets to integrate together.

For that, we provide an Aptos Wallet Adapter monorepo for wallet and dapps creators to ease development and ensure a smooth process in building projects on the Aptos network.The Aptos Wallet Adapter acts as a service between dapps and wallets and exposes APIs for dapps to interact with the wallets by following our Wallet Standard. This in turns allows dapps to support many wallets with minimal integration efforts, and for wallets to follow a known standard and gain visibility.

If a wallet supports functions that are not part of the basic plugin interface, a pull request should be made to the core package to include this function, so it can support it. You can take a look at the signTransaction on the wallet core package for guidance.

Wallets looking to integrate with the adapter should implement their own wallet plugin, to ease the process we provide you with a pre-made class that implements the basic functionality needed (according to the wallet standard).

So Pontem Aptos Wallet that is one of the most popular Aptos wallets, and has over 200k downloads just on google play store, seems to have added a very shady looking new feature, or at least it looks like that to me on surface. I personally used it to store a bit of my Aptos and used it for some transactions.

I'm new to Aptos network.I'm gettin error on any kind of operation viaany kind of wallet. I've tried same actionsvia my friends pc and his wallet and everythingwas working correctly. Tried to change browserand new account.

Hi I tried to send my Aptos to trustwallet, transaction details have appeared on the APT token page of the app but the balance remains 0. I have also confirmed the transactions and balance is visible on the Aptos explorer for my correct address.

I followed this guide (Steps in Finding Missing Funds : Trust Wallet) to find missing funds by re installing my wallet on my device but this did not work.

Any thoughts of next step would be very much appreciated.

Before trading or providing liquidity on Aptos, ensure you have funded your wallet. Start by bridging your assets from the Ethereum (or other networks) to the Aptos network using the Aptos Bridge powered by LayerZero.

Over time, I have avoided doing galxe task with my APTOS wallet for 2 reasons;

!. When I tried to claim OAT after completing the task using my EVM (Metamask wallet), I will ask me to switch to APTOS chain, When I switched, it will ask me to bing my wallet bujt whenever I bind it, the wallet binding feature failed to give me the option to use my APTOS Martian wallet. So for that reason, I simply ignore the task and move on.

Secondly, when it eventually started working, there is no Martian wallet like I have said, only Petra and Fewcha wallet, so I get lazy with importing my Martian wallet to either of these two (2)

Sp do do galxe task on APTOS network, for the meantime, I suggest you download Petra wallet extension if you are just creating your APTOS wallet for the first time. If you already have an APTOS wallet, I will suggest you import it to Petra or Fewcha. I used PETRA though.

Next, bind your APTOS wallet by clicking Menu, select settings and then select wallets. Scroll down and you will see the option to select the network you want to b ind wallet for. Choose APTOS.
