05. In respect of driving the vehicle. You will be held responsible for all acts, omissions and non compliance of rules and regulations for vehicle by you for the company. After holding the permit for 180 days, the driver may schedule an appointment with the Kentucky State Police to apply for their intermediate license. A licensed driver 21 years or older must accompany you to the testing site.

Immigrants who do not have valid US Citizenship and Immigration documentation are eligible to apply for a non-compliant driver's license or identification card. Individuals who present foreign documentation without valid United States Citizenship and Immigration Services documentation must schedule an appointment online to apply for a federally non-compliant driver's license or ID card.

In accordance with the UNC Policy Manual, all appointment letters must contain certain provisions. These core items are included in the boilerplate language in the letter templates and must not be altered.

The MVA has implemented a process for immigrants, applying for a driver's license or ID card, that requires them to obtain a certification of tax filings for the preceding two years from the Comptroller's Office. The MVA requires MVA applicants to obtain online certification of tax filings. For those applicants who are not able to obtain on-line certification, the Comptroller's Office offers an online scheduling process allowing MVA applicants to schedule an appointment to visit one of our twelve branch offices to obtain the required certification of tax filings.

Taxpayers can self-certify online if they have filed two years of Maryland tax returns as a primary/secondary taxpayer and used an ITIN. All others must make an appointment with the Comptroller's office. See "Making Appointments" below.


Once you have self-certified, you can print your certification letter and make an appointment with the MVA. See "Making Appointments" below.

First: You must make an initial appointment with the Comptroller's office which can be made online, or by calling the taxpayer services hotline, 1-800-MD TAXES or 410-260-7980. See "Obtain your Comptroller's Tax Certification" below.


Second: An appointment must also be made with the MVA only AFTER obtaining a certification letter from the Comptroller's office. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Visit the MVA website for more details.

The certification letter is FREE to qualified individuals through appointments only, which can be made online, or by calling the taxpayer services hotline, 1-800-MD TAXES or 410-260-7980. You must bring a photo ID and your ITIN letter from the IRS or Social Security card and a completed Maryland Form 130 (Request for Certification of Tax Filings) with you to your appointment.


The letter expires 12 months after the issue date and you must wait 24 hours after getting the certification letter before you make an appointment with the MVA.


If you are a dependent, you must also make an appointment. If we can confirm that you were claimed on any Maryland income tax return for the two most recent and consecutive tax years, you will receive a certification letter.

To reschedule or cancel an appointment, it must be changed at least forty-eight (48) hours before the appointment. To reschedule / change your appointment, you must use the link within the original appointment confirmation email. Click the link in the email and follow the instructions. An email containing the cancellation confirmation / confirming the rescheduled date and time will be sent to your email address.

If you are a TLC driver in your renewal year, you must take and pass your drug test within the ninety (90) days before the expiration date on your license. Failure to take and pass your renewal year drug test will result in the expiration of your license. 

Choose from the list of TLC approved LabCorp Locations to provide drug testing. Schedule an appointment by calling (800) 923-2624. A map, along with a list of LabCorp Drug Test Locations is available on NYC OpenData.

Once an applicant has completed and submitted all TLC requirements, the application will be thoroughly reviewed. The applicant will either receive his/her license in the mail or a letter requesting additional information necessary to continue the application process.

If you fail your interim (anniversary) drug test, the TLC will notify you by mail that you failed your drug test and your license will be suspended. The letter will also give you instructions on how to contest the drug test results if you wish to do so. You will then need to go to a hearing where you may be required to surrender your TLC driver license.

If you fail your drug test during your renewal year, the TLC will notify you by mail that you have failed your drug test and your license will not be renewed. The letter will also give you instructions on how to contest the drug test results if you wish to do so. You will not be able to renew your license unless you successfully contest the failed drug test result.

To obtain information you may email the Compliance department at tlccompliance@tlc.nyc.gov. You will need to provide a letter issued by your doctor indicating you are unable to provide a urine sample due to medical reasons. Diagnosis is not required.

After you have found the perfect candidate and presented a verbal job offer, it is time to send out the official job offer letter. This is normally sent out through email before the background check and signing the legitimate employee contract. The offer letter allows the candidate to know the majority of the contingencies of the position and the company to decide if they will accept the offer or not.

If the candidate agrees to your offer, they will sign the letter and return it back to the company. It is important to understand that this offer letter is separate from the employee contract and it is not always a legally binding employment agreement. However, It is still a good idea to have a legal professional look over the offer letter before sending it out to a candidate to avoid any legal mishaps.

Be brief because these can be expanded more upon during their on-boarding cycle. Examples include 401K options, insurance plans, and company culture.

Expiration Date- When finishing the letter, decide if your company wants to put a deadline on receiving a response. This will put a sense of urgency and importance on the letter. It could also save your company time if the candidate does not decide to sign and give you the opportunity to find other qualified candidates.

Closing- End your offer letter by expressing excitement about welcoming the candidate to the team. Provide contact information in case they have questions, and include a line for the candidate to sign and date the offer if they choose to accept. (Source: Indeed)
