I have set this app up before but for some reason it does not work anymore. I need to enable Norton App Lock Service under accessibility. Before I had the option to enable. Now there is no enable option, only uninstall!! I thought my son messed something up so I even formatted my tablet to see if that would fix the issue. I still cannot enable so I can't use applock. What do i do?????

I want to keep some of my apps out of access for those times when I give my phone to others. I want something more than the usual phone lock. I've been using applock and it works fine (it sometimes has an annoying time lag), but it asks for permissions to access all apps. Is it even safe? Should I switch to something else then? Can someone suggest alternatives? Thanks

I am implementing a pessimistic locking mechanism for the rows of many tables for a special-needs app. As my applock key/name I plan to use a number representing each table combined with an ID number stored in each row. An example key/name might be something like mydb_myschema_table0000000142_row0000241738. I may have many of these active at a time, so I need to know about these limits.

It seems unusual to use sp_getapplock so heavily for something that seems similar the type of row-level locking that SQL Server provides on its own. I'm assuming you've carefully considered other approaches, but if you haven't yet done so, you might want to think about other solutions that don't involve sp_getapplock.

I'm using moto x 2nd gen, I recently installed applock to keep some apps private but one of my friend knows a way to bypass the password and even change it, he did the same even with pattern lock. He doesn't even reboot the phone, he does it in seconds. How is he doing it and in what other ways can I lock my apps?

There are many ways to bypass applock, you can reboot into safe mode, uninstall/force stop/clear data the applock (if Settings is not locked), widgets (some apps have a Task Manager widget or Enable/Disable app widget), using third party application to uninstall/force stop/clear data the applock, uninstall the applock from Google Play Store (if Play Store is not locked), if Play Store is locked, open Google Play Store website from any browser, then uninstall the applock, etc. These only works on non-system applock, to bypass system applock, you have to disable/force stop the applock, or factory data reset. ff782bc1db
