I have tried everything to change the voice spoken on translate app back to female voice (English Uk). Settings and then Accessibility, Spoken Content, Voices. Nothing that I changed, worked to change the voice in the translate app. I'm request the following steps to change on the translate app voice back to female voice (English UK) from male voice (English).

In the Translate app, you can translate text, voice, and conversations into any supported language. You can also download languages to translate entirely on a device, even without an internet connection.

The audio and text (including text recognized in images) you choose to have translated are sent to Apple to process your requests. Your requests are associated with a random, rotating identifier, not your Apple ID, email address, or other data Apple may have from your use of other Apple services. By default, Apple stores transcripts of your audio interactions and your text inputs for two years and may review a subset of these transcripts. The small subset of requests that have been reviewed may be kept beyond two years, for ongoing improvement of Translate, System-wide translation, and other natural language processing features such as Siri.

The Translate app has a simple, easy to use interface that allows you to select languages to translate to and from at the top, and options to either type (or paste) text to be translated or speak it aloud after tapping the microphone option.

With voice translation, you can tap the microphone in the Translate app and speak a phrase out loud to have it translated into the target language. For example, if you have English and Spanish selected as chosen languages and ask "Where's the bathroom?" the app will provide the proper response: "Dnde est el bao?"

You can speak in any of the supported languages and have the spoken language translated into any of the other languages. The Translate app works with simple phrases or long sentences and speeches.

You can type in a single sentence or paste in long paragraphs of text, with the Translate app able to translate everything in its entirety complete with a spoken translation that can be played so you can hear the pronunciation.

Any recent translation can be saved as a favorite through the "Favorites" tab so you can save and repeat your most used translated phrases when needed. The Favorites tab also shows your recent translations.

Translations that use offline languages are on-device and private, with Apple having no access to the content that was translated. Offline languages can be downloaded by tapping on one of the language boxes at the top of the Translate app, scrolling down to "Available Offline Languages" and tapping the download button next to the language you want to download.

With iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, an Auto Translate option lets you translate a back-and-forth conversation without tapping the microphone button. There are also two modes based on how you hold your device, plus the ability to translate selected text from any app on your device.

To enter the text you want translated via the keyboard, tap anywhere in the space below and type the text. Tap Go to confirm, and the translation appears below your text. Tap the Play button to hear the translation spoken aloud.

Tap the book icon, and you can look up each translated word in a dictionary for a definition. Once you tap the icon, the first word in the translation is highlighted and defined. You can then tap another word in the translation to see its dictionary definition.

Tap the Favorites icon in the bottom or side navigation to view any phrases you have added to your Favorites list, as well as all recently translated phrases. If you wish to remove a favorite from the list, swipe it to the left and tap the Unfavorite icon.

In order to translate a conversation between two people, tap Conversation. The app has added new features to make conversations run smoother. For instance, instead of needing to manually set the two languages being translated, you can now open the ellipsis menu and choose Detect Language so your device will automatically detect what's being spoken.

The app needs an internet connection to translate, but you can download specific languages for offline translation. Tap the down arrow next to either of the two displayed languages, then select Manage Languages at the bottom of the list. To download a language, tap the Download button next to it.

You can also translate text from a website, document, or app outside of the Translate app. Just select the text you need translated and tap the Translate command from the menu. The translated text appears in a small window.

With the selected languages downloaded, set them as your source and target at the top of the Translate app. Now you can start using the Translate app to translate as you normally would, but now without an internet connection.

If you're ever unsure what language you're going to get your English translated into, the Dynamic Island tells you at the start. Right alongside English, Listening, it will say the name of the other language, and again the word Listening.

Apple's Translation app, first introduced in iOS 14, allows quick translations between a dozen different languages. By default, the app uses cloud services to perform translations, but you can also download languages to translate without a network connection.

Language assistance services are available free of charge, including direct services by bilingual employees, interpreter services, and the translation of printed materials. View our Language assistance fact sheet (translated in 15 languages) to learn more about Apple Health and how to access language assistance.

When it comes to translating words, Google Translate and its Apple counterpart both have a selection of options. With the pair of them, you can use your camera to translate words that you see in public on things like signs and menus.

Being able to translate things quickly is great, but you might stumble into words and phrases that you notice are regularly used. In these cases, you may wish to give yourself quicker access by saving these terms on your app.

Siri could always translate languages for you on your iPhone, but you'd always have to ask it to translate something, and it wasn't smooth enough for an actual live conversation. So Apple created "Translate," a default app that simplifies and hones Siri's abilities to interpret other dialects back and forth, making it easy to talk in real-time without too much hassle.

Translate uses the Neural Engine to translate between 11 different languages in any combination, and you can get translations for words and phrases that you type in or vocally speak. But the meat of it is the conversation mode and that it can do on-device translations, meaning you can use it entirely offline, a necessary feature when traveling with spotty service.

First, open the Translate app. In portrait orientation, you can choose the two languages at the top to translate to and from. There are 11 languages available for online translations (12 if you count the two English dialects), and the same amount available to download for offline use.

If you want to know more about each word in the translated text, tap the book icon to open up the dictionary at the first word. Then, you can tap each word in the translation to read more about what it means in different scenarios. Alternatively, you can tap a word in the blue translated text to open up the dictionary right to that word.

That way, it's much easier than typing out words, phrases, and sentences. Plus, it will say out loud the translation in the opposite language without you having to hit play (as long as your iPhone is not on silent mode). And just like when typing in words and phrases to translate, you can tap the black text to edit it since the voice capture doesn't always include everything you may want.

While you could use the microphone button in the portrait orientation to translate conversations, there's a conversation mode that puts more focus on the important details. Just rotate your iPhone into landscape orientation to open it.

You can also enter attention mode using the expand button. Doing so makes it easier to read the translated text, and it's even more effective at getting someone's attention that you're trying to have a face-to-face talk with (as opposed to side by side looking at the screen together).

To get the Google Widget, the Google app must be installed and opened once. Then the Widget can be installed from the Widget library. To see the Lens button, the user must choose the larger version of the Widget. With Google Lens on the Home Screen, a tap of the Lens button opens the camera and begins to analyze what is visible. Google's advanced artificial intelligence will offer various forms of help, depending on what is visible. For example, text may be highlighted. Touching it will give the option to copy the text or perform a search. If a product or brand name is recognized, Lens will offer useful information and provide links to the relevant item or company. If Lens detects a foreign language it will translate to English and overlay the translated text over the foreign text. It's quite magical and really outshines Apple's new Translate app. Lens can also scan barcodes and QR codes, giving information and links. e24fc04721
