Read receipts are turned off on my phone 13 mini, up to date at version 16.3, but they are still being shown to people I text. I have tried turning receipts on and off, and resetting my phone. I have also tried deleting the contact & message convo, then restarting my phone and messaging them again and it still shows them my read receipts.

Like everyone else here I have followed all the steps checked all my contacts and read receipts isn't on for any of them I've also toggled it back on and off again in settings and restarted my phone and its still happening. Can we get a solution to this issue? It's very frustrating and causing issues...

It's infuriating really! I still see that my messages have been read and I feel invaded by it... On top of that... It ****** me off that we all see when we're responding in real time to the text. This should be my decision not a feature of apple and the fact that more people don't complain about this simple privacy issue is wild to me!

This did not work for me, and as I read the comments, I am noticing it is still an issue for many users in late June 2023. Is there a plan to fix this any time soon or do we all need to individually contact apple support?

Echoing this - the issue for me is that even after turning off read receipts for each single conversation, they keep turning BACK on! I had a super long call with Apple a few months ago in which they had me delete some folders on my computer which temporarily fixed the problem, but it didn't last long. No matter what I do, this keeps happening.

I have a table i have created to do my tax and vat returns for my accountant. She's asking me to attach receipts to each line for future reference. Does anyone know the best way to do this. I can image fill a cell but its not big enough to see the receipt. Is it possible to hover over the cell and it enlarges or something like that?

i recently changed my email address and successfully switched my apple id info over to the new address but i keep getting order confirmation emails sent to my old address when i use apple pay. i have looked everywhere but can't figure out why this is happening. my old email address doesn't show up anywhere on my apple account page anymore, instead it shows that my address is the correct current one. but... i keep getting apple pay confirmation emails at the old one. super frustrating! please help!

Are you saying that new receipts will generate this field when decoded by Apple servers? This is documented only for iOS6 style receipts (i.e. the deprecated transaction.transactionReceipt). Does this field always exist for post-iOS6 style receipts? Do you know whether this is a permanent change?

- Strangely if to validate the receipts with the app store, the result is correct (all the new purchase or renewal receipt item be fetched), but the local receipt data is still old (the new purchase or renewal receipt will not be fetched from the receipt data). After calling "Refresh Receipt", the local data will be updated.

I currently have the Apple Watch Series 3 with an iPhone 6S. I have the setting set to mirror iPhone messages on my Apple Watch and I do not have read receipts live on my phone. But, my sent messages are showing read receipts. I've made sure that all read receipt functions are off - alas, no luck. What can I do?

To be honest, I am not sure if it is working or not, because while I did get the error message which they mention -- that is, "The domain/default pair of (com.apple.mail, UserHeaders) does not exist," -- and then followed what they said to do after that, in the Terminal feedback, I am getting nothing like "{Bcc = "bcc@example.com"; },". So as I said, I am not sure.

I did try Newton which gives you delivery and read receipts, but you have to use their message template for your emails. It seemed perfect but within a day of my signing up for the free trial and giving my account details, I received an email 'From me' (right clicking on the email address still gave me my details), telling me that the sender had hacked into my email account - and wanting money of course. I have never had this before and it seemed strange that it should happen the day after putting my email password on this other program. It seemed to be the solution

There is no such thing as an "apple receipt". If you made a purchase at a physical store using Apple Pay, they should have given you a printed receipt or emailed it to you just as they would when you pay with a regular credit or debit card (except that when using Apple Pay the receipt would show a card number different form your actual card since your device has its own "card" number assigned by the bank). If the cashier at the store didn't do that when you bought your items, then your only evidence of payment will be the transaction listed in your wallet app or on your bank statement.

I have been sandbox testing for a while with the same sandbox user. Though when I used another sandbox user I ran into the error There was an unknown backend error. The subscriber has reached the max number of Apple receipts allowed (7636). Then I cleared all sandbox users purchase history in App Store Connect, but ran into the same error when trying to subscribe with the new user. Though I could make a subscription using the original sandbox tester. My next move was to delete the original sandbox user in App Store Connect, but I still ran in to the same error (7636) when using a new sandbox tester. But the new sandbox users had a subscription, as I could see in App Store on the test device. After reinstalling the app and restoring the new sandbox users subscription the app worked as intended.

Clients call my backend code with a receipt they receive from Apple after they start a subscription. After I send the receipt from the server back to apple for validation, it comes back with a latest_receipt_info array.

This does not appear to be happening all the time, but I have never seen receipts like this before. Why would this start happening now? And does this mean the user should get access to my subscription content or not?

Apple automatically sends you all the invoices and receipts to your registered email ID. This includes everything except physical Apple store receipts. The process of how to view Apple receipts is easy.

The execution of the Appstore Connector depends on if the term-start and term-end dates of Zuora invoice items match the set period in Apple. You should ensure that the non-renewable subscriptions and their auto-renew settings align with the app's charge periods. Failure to align the subscription charges and the resulting invoice items with the charges on Apple receipts may stop the app from running as expected.

The feature is built into Apple Messages but is not available for regular SMS texts. You can tell the difference by color. A blue text bubble indicates Apple's iMessage, while a green text bubble indicates an SMS message. Group messages don't support read receipts either.

You may want to leave read receipts turned on for most people but turned off for select contacts. Open a conversation with the person in the Messages app, then tap their profile icon and turn off the Send Read Receipts switch.

Let's say you want to disable read receipts for everyone except a few select people. First, go to Settings > Messages on your iPhone or iPad and turn off Send Read Receipts. Now messages will show up as "Delivered" and not Read.
