This article explains how to install the Gainsight app from the Salesforce Appexchange, assign Gainsight licenses, and grant the Gainsight NXT permission set to the required users. You must first configure the Salesforce Connector and sync users from SFDC to Gainsight NXT org before proceeding with this article.

Note: Automatic Pardot AppExchange updates for scheduled release dates begin Tuesdays at 9 PM Eastern and may process through Wednesday mornings. To make sure your connector continues to function as intended, make sure your Salesforce admin applies the Pardot permission set to any users that need to access or use Pardot data in Salesforce, and the Pardot Connector User permission set and standard object and field permissions to your Salesforce connector user.

Although we highly recommend using the Pardot permission sets, customers with Salesforce Enterprise edition can manually apply permissions to users who need access to Pardot data in Salesforce. If you choose to manually apply permissions, you must manually apply any new permissions as they are released. We will note any new permissions needed in these release notes.

 Pardot Package v4.89

We changed the label for the legacy Pardot app that appears in the App Launcher to Pardot Classic (Deprecated). We changed the labels for default fields and default permission sets to match our new Account Engagement brand. We also fixed a performance issue when updating Lead, Contact, and Account records under certain conditions.

Pardot Package v4.13

Updates allow Send Engage Email buttons on Campaign and Opportunity record homes and Opportunity list views. Also includes a new Pardot_Integration_User permission set, which grants the same level of access to the integration user as the standard Pardot_Connector_User permission set. Plus, bug fixes and minor enhancements.

Name 13.8.0, Number 3.1

Includes security updates that require users that need to access or use Pardot data in Salesforce to have the Pardot Permission Set assigned. Enterprise edition Salesforce customers can opt to manually assign the permissions. Users whose permissions are manually assigned will need to assign the PardotResourceBaseByUserExtension class and the following pages: Pardot, SendPardotEmailContact, SendPardotEmailLead, SendToPardot.

These updates eliminate the small number of Salesforce API calls that were being counted for things like viewing a lead or contact with a Pardot Activities section. Read more about these updates in this post.

Name 10.5.0, Number 2.59

Added an additional text field for Tasks named "pi_source_record__c", which was also added to the permission set for the Pardot Connector User. This field is only used on the back end for Task syncing and does not need to be added to any page layouts.

Name 9.3.0, Number 2.32

Resolves an issue with Engage Emails that occurred when there are two or more recipients with the same email address and the user does not have Salesforce administrator permissions.

To install and uninstall packages from the Salesforce AppExchange, you need the 'Download AppExchange Packages' permission. This permission allows a user to download, install, upgrade, and uninstall packages from the AppExchange into your Salesforce organization. Furthermore, the 'Manage Package Licenses' permission is required in order to distribute and manage the licenses of installed packages.

It's important to note that 'Upload AppExchange Packages' and 'Create AppExchange Packages' are permissions related to the development and submission of applications to the AppExchange, rather than the installation or management of packages.

The 'Download AppExchange Packages' permission is needed to install and uninstall packages from Salesforce AppExchange. Although 'Manage Package Licenses' and 'Create AppExchange Packages' permissions exist, they do not directly influence the ability to install or uninstall packages.

To install and uninstall packages from Salesforce AppExchange, the user should have the 'Download AppExchange Packages' permission. This permission allows the user to install and uninstall packages provided by Salesforce AppExchange. It is important to note that while 'Manage Package Licenses' lets you allocate licenses to users, and 'Create AppExchange Packages' gives the authority to create and upload packages to the AppExchange, neither of these are directly related to installing and uninstalling packages. As such, the most relevant permission for installing and uninstalling is, indeed, 'Download AppExchange Packages'.

Unless you are already logged in, you will be asked to enter your Salesforce username and password. Inorder to install any AppExchange package, you must either be a Salesforce Administrator or have theDownload AppExchange Packages permission on your user profile. If neither is applicable, please contactyour Salesforce Administrator to install this app.

zAgileConnect provides a number of permission sets out-of-the-box that must be assigned to specific users based upon the type of access and usage they will require for the integration. These assignments must be done following the package installation to ensure that users have the necessary permissions.

zAgileConnect Subscription User - This permission set ensures access to custom objects bundled with the zAgileConnect package. It is required for all users who will be licensed for zAgileConnect.

zAgileConnect Admin User - (Not required for Salesforce Administrators) This permission set provides admin access to zAgileConnect package configurations in addition to access to custom objects bundled with the package. It is recommended for users who will need to administer zAgileConnect package configurations. In addition to this permission set, zAgileConnect Admin users will also need the following permissions:

zAgileConnet Integration User - This permission set ensures access to zAgileConnect package components that are involved in bidirectional exchange between Salesforce and Jira. This permission set must be assigned to the Salesforce account designated as the Integration User (Salesforce account used to log into Salesforce from Jira).

zAgileConnect Platform User - This permission set allows users not licensed for zAgileConnect to perform certain operations involving Jira, such as posting comments and attachments to Jira, posting field updates in Salesforce objects to Jira (Salesforce Properties), etc.
