Suddenly cannot open Whatsapp any longer when connected through data or wifi. App just cashes after a few milliseconds. It does stay open when in airplane mode though. I have a suspicion it's down to the latest update last Wednesday when following the update long standing settings were changed such as daily back-up have set to off.

Have reinstalled it twice but no luck and restarted my iphone countless times. Definitely an issue when connected. Messages do come through but cannot reply to them or access unless in Airplane mode. About 80% of the time I can use calling over wifi in airplane mode which works great.... except sometimes it seems to get out of the wifi calling mode and insists that I turn off airplane mode to make a call. I discovered you have to turn off data roaming for wifi calling to work when in airplane mode. My wife's and my att iphones now work in canada on hotel wifi with these settings set. wifi calling on, data roaming off, airplane mode on, wifi on in that order. At ghe top of screen it now shows the airplane and "AT&T Wi-Fi".
