You can launch an Adobe Connect meeting room in the Adobe Connect application for desktop. If you do not have the required Adobe Connect application, Adobe Connect prompts you to download and install it. An administrator can make it mandatory for everyone to install the Adobe Connect application to join an Adobe Connect session.

A host can either exit room without disturbing the meeting or end session which will end meeting for all from the drop down. He also can use the exit room icon with out disturbing the sessions for others. Participants on the other will only see the exit room icon to exit room.

If the host checks the box beside Open this URL for all attendees after session ends then a text field for entering a URL appears. The host can type in an address will be presented to the attendees.

After the host exits the room, participants will remain in the session unless the host had ended the session for all. Participants can exit the meeting room using the exit room icon. They will be presented with the dialog box as shown below.

When the host ends a meeting, all participants can rate their audio/video experience in the session via a feedback survey. This survey is needed to be turned ON by administrators for their account when required.

Hosts can broadcast messages to all breakoutrooms. This can be useful if you have noticed one or more roomshave a similar question. It is also a good practice to send attendeesin breakout rooms a warning message a few minutes before endingbreakout sessions and returning them to the main room. This allows attendeesto finish speaking, loading files, and working on the whiteboardbefore a breakout sessions ends.

I have a 4k screen on my laptop. Websites scale fine but when I am in an Adobe Connect session, the scaling is way off and the font size seems to be something like .5 pt, if that. Is there a way to increase the font size of the Adobe Connect sections? Changing resolution on my laptop does not fix the issue.

The thing is, I can't seem to find an actual .exe file for Adobe connect to use it on. I tried adobeconnectaddin.exe, but it only fixed the scaling on the loading window. Does anyone know if there is an actual Adobe Connect .exe file that this fix might work on?

That executable is in your roaming profile folder, so if you do a search for %APPDATA%\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\www.macromedia.com\bin\adobeconnectaddin (%APPDATA% is a TEMP variable for whatever your current user's AppData folder is, otherwise you can navigate manually to C:\Users\\AppData instead) you will find the adobeconnectaddin.exe file. This is what really needs the manifest file. The only issue is that it seems to zoom a bit TOO much - like it's doing double instead of 1.5. I wish I could adjust that, but I can live with it as is.

Most of the time it is a hardware configuration issue. For the Flash player to recognize the audio input/output device, your computer must recognize it first. So if you join into a Connect room and then plug in your headset, or mic, then the Flash Player, and thus Connect, may not recognize it. So by having the person close their Connect session and relaunch it, you should have cured that problem.

I don't use Adobe connect, but here is what I did. I downloaded Adobe connect add-in 8, and I installed on Ubuntu 13.04. I just press Ctrl+Alt+T on the keyboard to open Terminal. When it opened, I navigated to where the file was downloaded, in my case it was the Downloads folder, and I ran the following command:

(I don't know that this will really help, but it's what I did today, and currrently I'm waiting for the system administrators to respond. I'm using Ubuntu 14.04. I found the connection test failed on my university's Adobe Connect server, but it succeeded on Adobe's test page _test.htm, so I'm hoping the failure was due to some misconfiguration.)

Update: my university's server administrator found this trouble is due to an unresolved bug in Adobe's Flash player; see +source/flashplugin-nonfree/+bug/1064353. I had been using Firefox; he advised me to use the 3rd workaround in the bug report: use Google Chrome on Linux, with its Pepper flash player. I had previously installed the Ubuntu chromium-browser package, and now I installed the Ubuntu package pepperflashplugin-nonfree, which provides this plugin for Chromium. Using Chromium browser, I am now able to connect to Connect server. Since Google now provides a deb package for Chrome, that would probably also work.

Adobe Connect meeting Hosts can review session reports to see who attended their Connect meeting. The reports show the name each attendee used to log into the meeting room, and the times each attendee entered and left the room.

A host can record a meeting and share it with others after the session. By default, the meeting recording is assigned a URL. To play it, you need an internet connection, the recording link and permission to view it.

Log in to and locate the recording you wish to convert for offline viewing. If your session was created in D2L, you will still be able to find the direct meeting link and associated recording on Click here for further instructions.

The Council wanted to preserve the critical face-to-face connection and interactive discussions that make meetings so productive. But not just any video conferencing solution would do. Council meetings required an easy-to-use and manage environment that would be as inclusive as possible. The platform also needed to overcome some unique technical hurdles, such as people attending from extremely remote locations, including fishing vessels, via satellite phone.

Adobe Connect Meeting web conference training sessions are specifically for instructors teaching via a Contact North | Contact Nord web conferencing platform and who have an assigned course on Adobe Connect Meeting.

After reviewing the Adobe Connect Guided Tour and Host Checklist recordings, attending a live Quick Start session, or delivering online awhile, join us in this live session for your specific questions on using Adobe Connect to teach effectively.

You must connect and turn on your microphone and/or webcam before entering the meeting room. Once inside of the meeting room, you must "allow" Adobe Connect access to your microphone (and/or webcam) before use. To do so, connect your microphone (or webcam) by clicking on the icon. An Adobe Flash Player Settings dialogue box will appear; click "Allow."

All participants will be emailed a link to access the Adobe Connect session the day of the webinar. After you follow the link, click to Enter as a Guest, then enter your name (for the participant list). Then click to log into the session.

The system does not need to install anything on your computer in order for you to get into the session. But it can take a few minutes to connect the first time, so you should plan on logging in 5-10 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time.

Once inside the session, you will be presented with options for connecting to the audio of the webinar. Given the number of people who we expect to participate in the webinar, we ask that you simply choose the Listen Only option at the bottom of the box. This will cut down on the amount of background noise and signal degradation so that we can get a good recording of the webinar for posting on the website.
