The acapellas, vocal samples and rapping listed here may be used in your projects but the original artist who uploaded them retain certain rights. Please check the detail of each acapella, vocal sample or rap to see exactly how they may be used. Any questions about these files contact the user who uploaded them. Acapellas are NOT offered here in the same way as loops are so be sure you fully understand the terms of use.

Do you notice any improvement to your beat making general abilities, when doing beats around acapellas? Also do u have any advice or educational video/channel around the topic of figuring out the chords? (I've already done my research, went even into Indian Solfege haha).

I know you can use that deezer software to get acapellas off of popular songs but I found that the quality is not great. I am thinking about that mercury200 Britney spears toxic remix for example... is it easy to find acapellas or do people who do remixes just use deezer to get the vocal track. For people who have done this with songs, what are the common methods? Thanks

Hey fellow music producers! If you're looking for high-quality acapellas to aid in your music production, check out r/Acapellas - a community I started for sharing free acapellas without any restrictions or spammy download gates.

Every 4 hours, I post a new album of acapellas from top artists that you can download directly and use in your music. As the only mod, I'm dedicated to providing the best possible acapellas to help you create your next track.

Title. I'm always trying to get vocals from old songs but can never find the acapella if it isn't popular enough. I tried searching Google and various acapella sites for "Dreaming" by Smallpools but had no luck. Is making your own acapellas possible/effective? I tried once in Audacity but it sounded pretty messy.

Luckily, there are loads of places you can get them, and all sorts of ways to make your own, too. So what follows is a short, simple list of places to start your search, and tips for making great acapellas.

Our Mixing With Acapellas (& Stems) course does all of this. If you want to learn how the pros use acapellas for amazing DJ sets, and how to use the new stems functions on your DJ gear, click here to learn more about the course.

Hey all, Im practicing mixing acapellas with instrumentals, but I just dont know what I'm doing at all. Usually when I beatmatch, I focus on some drum element, but I cant do that with Acapellas for obvious reasons. Is there a trick to this? Or is it just a matter of practice? Cheers

Im actually really surprised that I couldn't find any answers to this. It seems like most of the internet isn't using Maschine + standalone for performance and def not using it with long form audio (full songs or acapellas). Im guessing because it seems to barf after only a few tracks or efx in standalone mode lol.

I have a hand full of options for using "other equipment" to run acapellas, but so far none of the equipment I want to "include" as I was hoping Maschine plus would provide a better solution. Meaning, I dont want to include 1 piece of gear just to do one simple thing; but that may end up being what I have to do in the end :(

Please note that we can only make acapellas from songs up to a length of 10 minutes and 80MB - the limitation is necessary, so as not to saturate our server. You can check out examples of isolated vocals in the examples section.

So the concept of the acapella bridge is, you have a track playing with a cool beat and you drop an acapella on it, I guess in ways, this is doing a mash up on the fly, then you fade out your exiting track leaving the acappella playing on it's own and quickly load up a new track and drop your new track in under the acapella and then once your new track kicks in fade or echo out the acapella and you have essentially used an acapella to bridge between 2 tracks or if you're feeling really creative you could even use acapellas to transition between genres, even BPMS, the potential is limitless.

If you like the idea of using acapellas in your set 100% check out my advanced course in the description below as I have a whole section on how to find, prepare and use acapellas, plus a whole bonus course on mixing more creatively and even an introduction to mixing with more than 2 decks which I am really proud of as again I break down what many perceive as complex mixing into bite size chunks helping you to make huge improvements very quickly whilst also building your confidence and enthusiasm for DJing, so check the links in the description for that.

I've made lots of mashups with acapellas over the years (some available here -> shameless plug).. sometimes it's easier to just get the original track in the same project as your acapella and match the acapella with that to start with. e.g.

But acapellas are hard to find, as not every artist and record label releases them to the public. Thankfully Beatsource has received permission from our artist and label partners to offer DJ Edits on our platform, including acapellas.

We're very excited to announce the first ever Yoshitoshi acapellas pack, featuring 10 DJ tools crafted from the vocal hooks of some of our most timeless records, including Eddie Amador's "House Music," Alcatraz's "Giv Me Luv," Kings of Tomorrow's "I Want You (For Myself)," and more!

The bleed value tweaks how narrow or wide the frequencies of each channel can be. A tighter bleed limits frequencies from other stems being heard. All though this makes clean acapellas, it can result in un natural-sounding artefacts being present. On the other hand, a wide bleed will sound more natural, however, different frequencies such as instruments or drums may be present. Being able to tweak the bleed value is a useful tool, though for creating the best acapella possible.

There are so many ways a DJ or producer can use acapellas, either in their DJ sets or in their productions. One of the key parts of our DJ courses is the use of acapellas and it's also an integral skill for our music production course students too. Check out this video for inspiration and if you have any questions feel free to contact us.

Acapella or 'A cappella' means solo singing without instrumental accompaniment. DJs and producers refer to using acapellas when talking about using recorded vocals samples without music in the background. They layer them into their DJ sets or add them to a track they are producing. Using an acapella in your DJ performance really sets the dance floor on fire and provides an instant way to remix a track.

One of the best tricks in the book is to find a classic acapella of a popular song and layer it over the instrumental from a modern track and thus creating an instant remix. This style of instant remix with an acapella vocal is often referred to as a bootleg remix or a mash-up. Some DJs specialise in this skill. It's also a secret weapon to get massive play counts on your remixes. If a vocalist is already popular, take Beyonce for example and you add that vocal to your instrumental you can benefit from the shear number of people searching for Beyonce remixes and her entire fan base! Algorithms cannot detect when acapellas are used in remixes so you can often avoid your remix being taken down by Soundcloud's copyright police.

Before you use any acapella you have to understand a little bit about copyright law. Most sources to download free acapellas online are just acting as a database of files and do not offer you a license to use the acapella in any commercial way, they most likely do not even have the rights to share the file with you. Of course this hasn't stopped DJs and producers using them. You can use any acapella or sample in a live DJ set or recorded DJ set without having any issues around copyright but you are not allowed to use an acapella if your own tracks unless you have permission from the owner. Of course not every record label has the time to track down everyone using a sample of theirs so most producers turn a blind eye to the law and use them anyway, sometimes cutting them into smaller parts to avoid detection. If you want to make a track with a vocal it's best to pay for the license for an acapella or record one yourself with a singer.

Youtube is a great database of acapellas and you can download them for free using a service like YoutubetoMP3. The problem with Youtube is that you don't have legal permission to use these acapella samples in any tracks you produce and the quality of youtube rips is very low. However, they are easy to use in DJ sets and live performances. You can find many acapellas on Youtube by following channels dedicated to acapellas. Try starting with Sk3pticAcapella KingAcapella and MS Project Sound. You can also get other samples from Youtube for DJ sets including radio drops, sound FX and dialogue from films. Many producers will find a famous quote from a film and use it just before the beat drops!

LSA production course graduates will be familiar with Splice. We use it because it's one of the best databases of samples on the internet and if offers an organised way to search and tag your favourite media. You pay monthly for this service and get access to a huge range of music production tools including vocal samples (acapellas). One of the best things about Splice is that it shows you the key of sample so you can make sure you mix it with an instrumental in the same key. It's really important to use acapellas harmonically.

Voclr is our favourite browser-based database for acapellas. We even reached out to them about this blog and they've given our readers a special discount code!
