Also it works only if I copy text from say word for example and paste it into a new email in outlook. spell check is always working in word it's just outlook. So if I type a heap of jumbled characters the spell checker doesn't underline in red (like MS word is doing) I have been though all the troubleshooting with a Microsoft support agent who has checked my settings via remote assistance and he also couldn't get it to work. He checked and said that he is having the same issue with Outlook 2021 on his work machine.

@Autistic_EwokMy question is when setting up my Microsoft profile just now to be able to reply to the question here, why is Microsoft asking to enter my work email if I am a 365 user? That isn't the only option, a work email, so why are they specifically asking for only a work email? I do not have a work email (retired), but I am a 365 user.

As for the Outlook spell check feature, very surprising to see all of the experts talking about all of the options for spell check in Outlook, because this is directly from Outlook: "Although Outlook.com does not have a spell check function, many web browsers automatically check your spelling, including Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer 10 and later versions, and current versions of Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Check the options for your web browser to learn more about how to check spelling."

Thank you, I misunderstood the question then. I have been dealing with Outlook issues this week and was looking for answers regarding spell check while typing reply email messages. I thought this was the same thing, but apparently there are several options when dealing with Outlook (web based, app and Office).

After a few days of frustration where my terrible keyboard skills were delivering many typos, and no little red line underneath to warn me, I went on a search for the answer. Nothing in the MS system worked but eventually I discovered a fix within the browser. I use Chrome so will use this as my example: Chrome settings-languages-spell check. Turns out all these had been switched off for some reason, flicked them back to on and I have my red lines again showing me how bad my keyboard skills are.

Hope this helps someone else as there doesn't seem to be a built in spell check option for the O365 online email offering.

Microsoft Todo creates lists which nicely sync with Outlook task folders. (This is a change because I used to demonstrate Outlook tasks using categories, but Microsoft Todo doesn't sync with Outlook categories, only Outlook task folders.)

However, if the process starts (as it often will) by planning in OneNote... When you create an Outlook Task in OneNote, the link is broken when the task is moved out of the default Outlook task folder into its correct folder to sync with Microsoft ToDo.

The function to create Microsoft Outlook tasks (and by way of extension Microsoft ToDo tasks) from text in OneNote only appears in the desktop version of OneNote - its been there for a number of years but being retired by 2025.

My assumption is that OneNote (UWP) and Microsoft To-Do will eventually create a nice link at some point in the future which will be even better than the current Outlook tasks link with OneNote desktop application. However, its not there yet and I guess the teams keep their cards close to their chest.

I'm seeing this same problem using OneNote Windows desktop app (Office 365 Pro Plus). I've found that the tasks are actually getting deleted and I can sometimes find them in my deleted items if I catch them before our retention policy permanently deletes them. Seems to happen when I edit the OneNote page with the linked task sometime later.

I cannot get a todo to sync with outlook at all, whether it is created on desktop or online. There used to be a lot of ability in outlook to create meaningful dated tasks, it seems like functionality is steadily being removed from onenote, which is the main reason I subscribe to office365. So i am not even getting to have the problem of losing the links, I cant even make one.

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask but I've also posed the question on the android support forum. I've set up a work profile and it seems to be working OK. I get notifications from Outlook for meetings however not for when I receive a new email. I've checked the settings and notifications are turned on and I get them if I remove the work profile Outlook and just have the normal app.

so all mail notification are silent ? or any specific mail notification ? i mean if mail has some rule setup like move it to desire folder automatically than you will not be notified but if its directly coming to inbox than you will be notified @marky79

Can you go to 2nd option in screenshot and browse that option ---- than see if notification options are enabled or not , also try to change the alert tone and check with test email and see if it works ? 152ee80cbc
