We can identify with many artists when they release reality tunes, which is really the true ethos of roots music. This snapshot of late 90's/early 2000's tunes reflect similar sentiments or even riddims from the early roots music from the 70's, with a more modern perspective.

Miners Foundry and Late-Nite Productions are proud to present an evening of conscious Reggae Music with Alborosie & the Shengen Clan plus guests J-Ras & the Higher Elevation, El Dub, Jah Mikey One and DJ Redlocks live in concert at the Miners Foundry in Nevada City. This is taking place tonight at 6 p.m. Advance tickets are available for $35 at Ticketweb.com ($5 increase day of show).
Located on Seven Mile Beach, Roots Bamboo features reggae artists every single week. Past and regular performers include Gregory Isaacs, Natty King, Yellowman, and many others. Live music is playing Wednesday and Sunday nights at 11 PM on for a cover charge of only $300 Jamaican dollars (US $3).
So yesterday's start to the series was at the basic level, at the Little Angels Learning Centre at Mustard Seed Communities, 1 Mahoe Drive, St Andrew. The slated speaker, dubbed a 'reggaelutionary' (as are all the speakers in the Conscious Reggae Party series), was Amina Blackwood-Meeks. Miller said that the children planned to sing 'Happy Birthday' for her.
