Dover Residents sign-ups begin May 5 at the Dover City Parks Building on North Wooster Avenue. Non-Residents sign-ups begin May 12. The cost for each session is $15 per participant. Children must have completed kindergarten to sign up.

Freestyle 1/2 lap with rythmic breathing (unassisted)
Streamline glides into water from seated position
Tread water for 30 seconds (unassisted)
Introduction to deep water; diving safety
Kick on back 1/2 lap (unassisted)
Safety swim: jump in water, swim 15 feet, tread water 10 seconds, kick on back to return to wall
Tread water 1 minute
Survival float on back for 1 minute
Freestyle with rythmic breathing 1 lap (unassisted)
Kick on back 1 lap
Backstroke 1 lap
Introduction to elementary backstroke 1/2 lap
Introduction to breaststroke
Kneeling & standing dive; diving safety
Safety swim: freestyle 1/2 lap, tread 30 seconds, kick on back 1/2 lap to wall
Tread water 3 minutes
Freestyle with breathing 2 laps
Backstroke 2 laps
Elementary backstroke 1 lap
Breaststroke 1 lap
Standing dive from diving board

Sign ups are first come, first serve. Payment is required to register. All registrations are through the Dover City Parks Office - no signs up are offered at the pool.
If a class is canceled due to weather, it will not be made up.
