Thank you for looking at my page. I have been a birth companion for over six years and have assisted at births.

I am a mother of two grown up sons who I had in 1982 and 1985. One was breastfed and the other was bottled fed. I think back then there was not the support as there is today to breast feed so I think I took the easier option the second time. Both babies were healthy and as close to me today.

I worked in sexual health for twenty years as a receptionist /trainer. My work involved meeting a lot of women/single mums.

I first thought about birth companion when I read an article of pregnant women in prison, through them I did my training.

I became a Doula this year on completing the Doula U.K.

I believed all women should be given the emotional and practical support they need during pregnancy and labour.
