"I love to write and have been writing for over 50 years. I have written award-winning plays, many short stories, hundreds of essays, poetry too numerous to count, lyrics for songs, letters to the editor, and several books. Writing is a gift. I want to share it with you here.

For my latest book of poetry look for Doug Daugherty on Amazon, Excursions. More is on the way. Plus, weekly posts will be offered. My interests are very broad. I tend to focus on spirituality, culture, and politics/current events. I hope you enjoy, and will become a regular reader. Interviews will also appear on different topics. Be blessed and I hope you will explore this website.”
