DOUG SMITH fell in love with playing music over fifty years ago, playing with friends in middle school. 

Sometime later, after getting married and having children, Doug was reunited not only with his middle school passion but with his middle school bandmate, as well. With a nod to their alma mater's mascot, Two Meteors Band was formed. 

Doug and his bandmate, Dennis, met to practice regularly at their homes and filled their time with a variety of gigs up until recently. With grandkids, family, and a growing fan base in Northern California, the duo made the tough decision to begin their solo adventures. 

Doug is now playing regular gigs in Sacramento, Davis, Woodland, and Winters. He enjoys playing cover songs, writing his own music, and getting the crowd to dance or sing along. 

Doug currently lives in Woodland, CA with his full-time dogs and part-time managers, Mia & Charlie. 

In celebration of his late wife, Wendy, he plays in her memory. All tips given at performances are donated to Thriving Pink in her name.
