Using the newspaper article template, students can express their understanding by using their notes of the beginning, middle, and end events of the story to be placed In the summary and breaking news sections. Students can add in their own Ideas through describing the setting In the travel to the setting section. Lastly, students can write creatively in the interview with the main character section by synthesizing questions from their perspective and answers from the inferences they acquire about the main character's traits.
