About me:

I am currently an Assistant Professor (working hard to get tenured💪) at the State Key Laboratory for Internet of Things for Smart City (University of Macau). Prior to joining UM, I got my PhD degree from the National University of Singapore in 2025, supervised by Prof. Jimmy Chih-hsien Peng, Prof. Zhisheng Ye, and Prof. Loon-Ching Tang.

My research interests encompass broadly Operations Research, Power System Operation and Control, Machine Learning, and Socio-technical Systems. Feel free to let me know if you are interested in collaborating or learning more about my work (yangy[at]um[dot]edu[dot]mo) .
