About Garcia Peoples:

Formed in New Jersey by guitarists Tom Malach and Danny Arakaki, the band took a few years to find their flying shape, solidifying into a lineup with Danny’s brother Cesar on drums and Derek Spaldo on bass by mid-2016. Ramping up their acceleration around the time of their 2018 Cosmic Cash debut on Beyond Beyond Is Beyond Records, they’ve blasted through residencies and new songs and sessions and collaborations, relocating to New York, picking up two new members in keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist Pat Gubler and bassist Andy Cush, and leaving a trail of live tapes in their wake. This year, they’ve delivered not one but two new albums for BBiB: the sleek and song-oriented Natural Facts and the sprawling improvisatory opus of One Step Behind. 2019 also saw the first performances by the full Garcia Peoples lineup, a six-person behemoth with Spaldo on third guitar.

About Karina Rykman:

In 2016, Karina joined Marco Benevento's band on bass, replacing her ‘guru’ Dave Dreiwitz (Ween /Joe Russo's Almost Dead). In the many U.S. tours, trips to Japan and the UK since then, Karina has developed a permanent and powerful presence in the band, playing headlining shows, festival sets, and opening for bands such as Vulfpeck, Dispatch, The Claypool Lennon Delirium, Guster, and many more. Karina put out two singles in 2019: Plants and Elevator, as well as two more in 2020(City Kids & Dirty South) – the songs have garnered six-figure streaming numbers + airtime on Satellite radio.

About Macrodose:

Macrodose consist of visual artists Chris Georges and Gregory Thrasher. Together they create psychedelic light shows and projections for bands all over New York City and Brooklyn. Using 60’s techniques updated with modern tools, Macrodose aim to create one of a kind live visuals with liquids, video synthesis and cameras to give concertgoers a synesthetic experience. There are no laptops used and we do not press play, everything is live and manipulated by hand.

About the venue:

Industry City is a one-stop destination of experiences, eateries, events and everything in between. An historic intermodal city, IC is comprised of 16 buildings, built on 35 acres of repurposed industrial space. The waterfront green spaces, immersive retail, and public art installations make for an entire day of discovery. Learn more about food + drink, art and events at IC here.
