How can I join the contest?

All PAGASA employees are invited to join the Mobile Photography Contest

E L I G I B I L I T Y
All PAGASA employees (regular, COS, and JO) are eligible to join the contest.

M E C H A N I C S

  1. Photo entries must be in accordance with the following:

  • In relation strictly with the theme: “The Ocean, Our Climate and Weather”.

  • Have a minimum size of 4000x3000 pixels.

  • Captured in the Philippines from January 2020 – present using a mobile phone ONLY.

  • Post-processing of the image is limited to cropping and color enhancement, including shadow and highlights only. Photo manipulation is NOT allowed.

  • Must not contain any copyrighted material including artworks and other photos.

  • Must not contain date stamps, watermarks, or any text on the image.

  1. Submission of entries will be on March 20, 2021(Saturday) from 9:00 AM to 11:59 PM. All entries received within the prescribed submission period will be considered.

  2. One (1) entry per person only.

  3. Entries must be submitted thru this Google Form link (https://forms.gle/iXFZEAHLdM8LS26W8).

  4. Upload your respective unedited image and processed image in the Google Form provided. Both images must be in .jpg format and must be labeled with the following filename format:

  • Unedited image: NWMDay2021Raw_<Surname_First_Name>.jpg

  • Processed image: NWMDay2021Processed_<Surname_First_Name>.jpg

  1. The overall score will be based on the unedited and processed image.

  2. The judges’ decision is final.

  3. The Top 20 entries will be posted on PAGASA's Official Facebook Page for online voting. The voting period will start on March 20, 2021 (Saturday) until March 22, 2021 (Monday) at 11:59 PM. One (1) Facebook reaction is equivalent to one (1) point. Entry with the greatest number of reactions will win the People’s Choice Award.

**The results of online voting will not determine the grand prize winners. This is solely for the People’s Choice Award.

  1. Announcement of Winners will be on March 23, 2021 (Tuesday) during the PWEA Activities as part of the celebration of 156th National | 71st World Meteorological Day. Winning entries will be contacted via email.
