Our Mission

Self-determining the world we want to live in by reconciling youth with activism. ​💪

DSU was designed to serve as an incubator for youths to come up with their own initiatives and execute them. In doing so, we hope to reconcile youth in their ability to take ownership of the society they want to live in -- of a world moved not by fear, but by love. 🌎💓

Rather than focusing on a singular motive, we decided to cast a wide net with our initiatives to raise the chances of each individual discovering their niche method of contribution. Thus, by cycling through various initiatives rather than centralizing around a single focus, we observe how each project attracts the interest of different crowds, which collectively amounts to a larger pool of activist involvement.

The overwhelming interest DSU has seen so far highlights not only an interest in community service, but also the important role DSU fills. DSU is a way for students to support their communities at every level. We are student run and student supported, and for that reason we are a very welcoming place for young people to explore their motivation for advocacy in their communities, while still striving to ensure effective and efficient service.
