Please send your curriculum vitae or resume attached including the names and contact information of three references.
Postdoctoral Fellow 1
A funded postdoctoral position is available to study the mechanisms of monocyte-macrophage differentiation and apoptosis in the Department of Physiology and Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Michigan State University. A successful candidate will focus on studying the role of myeloid cells in inflammatory diseases including tumor progression, cancer chemo-resistance and/or in models of obesity using in vitro and in vivo models as well as human specimens. Candidates must have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree in immunology, cancer biology, molecular biology, genetics, cellular and molecular biology or related fields and published work in peer reviewed journals along with excellent communication skills. Expertise in molecular biology, flow cytometry, mouse models, bioinformatics, and/or genomics research is desirable. Salary is commensurate with experience adhering to the funding agencies stipends.
To apply please send a cover letter, CV, and contact information of three professional references to Dr. Andrea Doseff- doseffan@msu.edu
Postdoctoral Fellow 2
A funded postdoctoral position is available to study the mechanisms by which monocytes and macrophages crosstalk with adipocytes and help regulate microbiome homeostasis in the Department of Physiology and Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Michigan State University. A successful candidate will focus on studying how myeloid cells through the interaction with adipocytes modulate metabolic function and microbiome homeostasis. Candidates must have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree in immunology, molecular biology, genetics, cellular and molecular biology, molecular nutrition, or related fields and published work in peer reviewed journals along with excellent communication skills. Expertise in microbiome, flow cytometry, mouse models, bioinformatics, and/or genomics research is desirable. Salary is commensurate with experience adhering to the funding agencies stipends.
