Reality: they require daily cleaning/care
Reality: they can live up to a decade, some into their teens
Reality: they dont need annual vaccinations, but spaying and neutering are live-saving, and there are some things to look out for
Reality: outdoors, they're at risk of serious disease, predators, and loneliness, all of which can affect their lifespan
Reality: they self clean and potty train easily if the litter box is cleaned daily
Reality: Most dont, especially at first. As natural prey, theyre instinctually afraid, and if this isnt addressed soon, they will learn to nip upon excessive contact
Reality: they love to run and jump and need ample space. Dont let size fool you - smaller can mean more energetic
Reality: Ideally they get daily monitoring. Minor problems for a dog/cat can be major issues for bunnies.
Reality: Hay is their most important diet component. Rabbit pellets are second. Carrots/apples are sugary and act more as treats.
