As an educator, I have seen firsthand how a child’s education can impact their ability to succeed in life. I believe each and every child deserves a great education. During these unprecedented times, we have the opportunity to reimagine what is possible by creating equitable opportunities so that every child can thrive. I will focus on strengthening our academic programming and ensuring our children feel seen and heard while attending school.

Meet Dorie

Dorie is a mother of two and a Melrose Human Rights Commissioner. She works as a literacy consultant where she coaches and supports district-level leaders and principals across the country on improving their literacy programming.

Dorie started her career as a middle school writing teacher and is an alumna of University of Florida (Go Gators!) and Harvard Graduate School of Education.

She is happiest discovering new hikes and scrambling up the White Mountains with her family.
