Dorian Whisper, a versatile singer-songwriter from the Netherlands, primarily composes his songs on guitar, weaving lyrics that draw inspiration from cherished memories to striking political events or just spread positivity. His rock and pop compositions seamlessly blend a variety of musical styles and influences, such as Phil Collins, Santana, Steely Dan, Sting, Van Morrison and classic bands like Pink Floyd and Genesis.
Despite having decades of musical experience, Dorian Whisper debuted with his EP ‘As Long as You Want’ in March 2020. This EP was followed by several successful singles, including ‘Brand New Day' and ‘Fate Cut Another Ribbon’, the latter of which honors the late rock drummer Taylor Hawkins of the Foo-Fighters.
Dorian Whisper is highly involved in the production of his music, singing and playing guitar on all his tracks. Since 2022, he also taken on the roles of playing keys, bass and drums. For earlier releases, the accompanying instruments were played by arranger and musician Richard Deligero from Davao City (Philippines).
In addition to his rock and pop music, Dorian Whisper also experiments with synthesizers and electronic music. For example, his song 'Time For The Game' (June 2024) captures the excitement of upcoming sports events, while 'Another Way - Synth Version' (2023) reinvents an earlier acoustic song in an electronic style. Despite the electronic experiments, his music often features signature rocking guitar solos.
