My research interests include Industrial Organisation (IO) and International Trade, and my PhD thesis studies the implications of various government interventions around Digital (Platform) Economics, covering topics including Two-sided Markets, Digital Taxation, and Industrial and Trade Policies, applied to digital products, such as Telehealth services, E-commerce, Media and Advertising, and Video-on-Demand (VOD).
Additionally, I also have an interest in topics around firms' strategic behavior, such as Entry Modes, Location Choice, Product Differentiation, Licensing, Outsourcing, Exclusive Dealing, Mergers, Innovation, and consequently, Competition Policies.
In my PhD studies, I am lucky to be supervised by Simona Fabrizi, Steffen Lippert, and Robert MacCulloch.
I am a recipient of the three-year Matthew S Abel Doctoral Scholarship for the 2021 round.
I am passionate about competition and trade issues and related economic policies, especially in the context of the digital economy. Driven by a desire to leverage my research to practical applications, I took the opportunity to be an Economics Intern at the New Zealand Commerce Commission, where I work with the Competition Economics Team.
My insights on various economic issues have been featured in the news media several times. Among them are issues related to antitrust and competition in e-commerce, regulations on imports of digital products, and green trade policies, featured by The Jakarta Post.
I am originally from Indonesia, but I previously studied in Australia (Research Stay), the Czech Republic, and Taiwan.
