Thank you for visiting my Portfolio web-page! My name is Dorette Anderson-Bracero and I am a Paraprofessional or Educational Assistant working for the Department of Education for several years now. I am wrapping up my finial semester of my bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduation, I will obtain my New York State certification as a General Education Teacher.

This portfolio website is where you will find links, photos, lessons plans, PDFs' and among other things that are related to my role as an Educator. I have experienced various classrooms as a paraprofessional, from Pre-K to Eighth. I have upload a bunch of self- created resources that I have used and been successful with while in those classrooms. I am also showcasing an education website that I update monthly. Links to my blogs and some lesson plans that anyone can do at home are also available. I always knew I wanted to become a classroom teacher, but my experience with children who have various learning disabilities and diagnosis allow me to commit to teaching children in a different way. I want to focus my studies in Special Education starting from birth to sixth grade, along with becoming a certified Applied Behavioral Specialist. For now, I used my role as a paraprofessional to go above and beyond to support not just the child I may be assigned too, but the teachers and the rest of the students in the classroom over all.
