Strategic Goal 1: Provide high-quality, accessible academic programs for the achievement of a degree or other academic goals.

Objective 1.1 - Faculty and Staff

Recruit and retain highly qualified faculty and staff.

Objective 1.2 - Courses

Provide students a variety of courses through varying methods of delivery to meet their academic goals. (revised 2018-19)

Objective 1.3 - Learning Outcomes

Promote and assess student learning and use the results to improve outcomes.

Objective 1.4 - Learning Resources

Offer library services and resources that meet the needs of the academic program and support students in achieving academic success.

Objective 1.5 -(new) 21st Century Soft Skills

Infuse soft skills throughout the curriculum to encourage student personal development as educated, responsible, ethical citizens. (New 2018-19)

Strategic Goal 2: Develop and strengthen innovative, flexible, and scalable systems and processes to support institutional growth and student success.

Objective 2.1 - Infrastructure

Provide facilities and infrastructure to effectively support college operations and growth. (revised)

Objective 2.2 - Digital learning ecosystem

Foster a digital learning ecosystem that connects faculty, staff, and students to enhance learning, collaboration, and community.

Objective 2.3 - Financial reporting and compliance

Ensure compliance with financial standards and reporting requirements with accreditors, regulatory agencies, and foundation grants.

Objective 2.4 - Planning and Assessment

Engage in collaborative, systematic planning and assessment for continuous institutional improvement.

Objective 2.5 - (new) Paving way for geographic expansion

Explore regulatory and legal requirements for expansion into new geographic areas; coordinate required applications.

Strategic Goal 3: Implement and maintain academic and student support initiatives to benefit students and alumni.

Objective 3.1 - Early access to higher education

Encourage early college involvement through effective recruitment, admissions, and orientation services which support the college's mission and standards.

Objective 3.2 - Activities to enhance experience

Provide extra-curricular and co-curricular activities and events which enhance the educational experience.

Objective 3.3 - Academic and student support services

Ensure access to academic and student support services and programs to improve retention and completion rates.

Objective 3.4 - Ongoing education

Assist students with post-graduation plans including transition to other post-secondary institutions.

Strategic Goal 4: Build and expand collaboration with stakeholder groups.

Objective 4.1 - Collaboration with affiliated organizations (revised)

Collaborate with the affiliated community of charter high schools and other education providers to provide services that promote college success.

Objective 4.2 - Agreements with other colleges and entities

Develop mutually beneficial agreements with colleges and entities in support of the college mission.

Strategic Goal 5 (new): Create a Bachelor’s of Education program with practical approaches to evolving developments in education to create effective educators.

Objective 5.1 (new) - Program approval and accreditation

File and attain approval for B.S. in Elementary Education from regulators and DEAC accreditor.

Objective 5.2 - (new) Academic program development

Build academic program, curriculum, courses, and hire faculty.

Objective 5.3 - (new) Infrastructure

Create administrative and student support infrastructure to support the new degree program.
