The recently appointed student council vice president. Naive and gullible, but nevertheless determined to see through the duplicity plaguing the town of Solumthorne.
He was never close to Alice, but seeing how her disappearance has impacted his friends, he also makes it a point to investigate her case when he can.
Generally... He is somewhat unintelligent. Totally failing all his classes—and that's not because he's trying to. He's still unsure of what he wants to do in the future, or perhaps just struggling to find the words to describe it. He’s aware of these shortcomings, and as a result isn't confident in his academic abilities.
Aromé knows that his strengths lie instead in pleasing others. What strikes people the most about him is his liveliness and energy— how he is both agreeable yet morally upstanding. Sensitive, empathetic and always willing to lend a hand to anyone. Aromé is confident in his righteousness. As long as he’s sure he’s helping someone out, or doing something everyone can agree with, then he can carry out the action without worry.
He's totally unorganized. Between all the laundry, garbage, and random bottles of water there's nearly no room to stand in his house. Like many others in Solumthorne, he lives in mild poverty. His parents don't seem to be around, either. Later, Cypress moves in with him.
Relationships:
Ruma - He just tries his best to help her out. Understands that she's high-key on edge all the time and as a fellow member of the student council tries to help lighten the work load. While he means well, unfortunately his lackluster academic ability doesn't get him far. The most he could do is organize stacks of papers or try to format a Google doc (Google sheets is completely beyond him). Sometimes on particularly bad days, he's a bit scared of her, but will try to be nice anyway.
Kyadi - Since he's so gullible Kyadi thinks its funny to lie to him all the time. Her pranks are generally harmless though, and Aromé genuinely has fun being around her. She's pretty noisy though, and whenever she gets in a fight with Leveret it's often Aromé's job to meditate. Sometimes Aromé will also really want to help Ruma out with work, but 99% of the time the moment Kyadi walks into the room he gets completely distracted.
Cypress - In complete contrast with the chaos spent everyday at school with the student council, Aromé finds a moment of peace and tranquility whenever he's around Cypress. Cypress doesn't talk a lot nor ask for anything, so it's often entirely on Aromé to get to know him. Sometimes their conversations are awkward, or sometimes Aromé feels like he's talking to a wall, but it is a much needed moment of peace nonetheless. According to Aromé, taking care of Cypress is sort of like taking care of a sick and old grandma.
Leveret - Part two of one of the most distracting people in Aromé's life. He has fun roping Aromé into his random hijinks after school. They're also Aromé's first and closest friend— though Aromé always felt out of place or out of Leveret's league— considering the latter's popularity.
Shrei - He tries to be nice to him, but Shrei being a prick does not care. Aromé would like to know him on a deeper level, but it looks like a challenge that he doesn't have the energy to take.
Aka - Weird doctor scientist paranormal investigator woman that sort of appeared suddenly. Aromé doesn't trust her, but one day she requested he cooperate with her "Doppelganger Exorcism Plan" or whatever. Aromé refused but was forced to assist when she threatened his life.
Alice - He never knew her, but he sort of wish he did hearing how highly his friends speak of her.
S3N - He's amazed by the technology. Every time he sees it, he asks, "Are you alive??" to which the AI must remind him that that is an incredibly perplexing and existential question it would rather not think about. S3N is also amused by Aromé's apparent 'stupidity', but never makes fun of him for it. It just genuinely enjoys that he's stupid.
