There are multiple reasons for DoorOS to be shut down. It could be:

• maintenance

  • maintenance includes features being added, major bugs being fixed, etc.

• corrupt disk image

  • if this is happening to you, please contact support for free help

• your computer doesn't support DoorOS 1.0

  • DoorOS supports many operating systems to run on, including Windows and Mac.

• your copy of DoorOS is unregistered

  • sharing/selling/distributing copies of DoorOS or any of its programs without permission from DoorOS Team is strictly prohibited by the DoorOS End User License Agreement

• you can't find a reason

  • For any help with DoorOS or any of its programs, contact support

This is due to the fact that the programs have no beta copy for them, you don't own the CD-ROM for the program, or the program files have a problem in them.

DoorOS Classic runs in your web browser, due to its small size. Also, as a disclaimer, due to the framework of DoorOS Classic, programs are only to be ran in different tabs. Sorry about that.

DoorOS 1.0 runs as a standalone executable file, and acts like a second operating system on your computer (almost like a virtual machine). Thanks to the new, more powerful development environment, DoorOS programs can work in the executable itself.

When finished, DoorOS will not be free, however, the price will be very cheap (say, $0.99 or so). A free trial version of DoorOS 1.0 will be available.
