The Dreamscape

The dreamscape is essentially a colony of living things. It produces a special, rainbow-colored gelatinous fluid powered by the host’s psychosis known as jallanecks that keeps it alive and functional. If the host’s mind has deteriorated enough, jallanecks will stop being produced, thus causing the creation of a norst hole; a physical break in the dreamscape. Although jallanecks will go to the hole to try and seal it closed, it’s usually a fruitless endeavor, as the host by this point would likely have stopped producing jallanecks. If the host is sick enough, the norst hole ultimately ends up consuming everything, and forever kills off the host’s dreamscape.

Because the host’s psychosis is what controls and influences jallanecks, the host, when in the dreamscape, is able to use it to forge anything they wish. However, since jallanecks is also what gives life to the dreamscape, there is only so much that can be summoned before needing a cool down to let the jallanecks give fuel back to the dreamscape.

There also exists a special type of jallanecks known as bio-jallanecks, which is used to create the various lifeforms in the dreamscape.

Its appearance is not the same for everyone, though some people’s dreamscapes may look nearly identical, while others would appear completely unrecognizable. However, the way the dreamscape is accessed is always the same. The host's mind must be at a certain point of decline. Typically, the host will have to do something like assault someone in order to get to this point, allowing them to enter the dreamscape. Entry into the dreamscape can only happen during a period of the sleep cycle just on the brink of wakefulness, which is one that not everyone is likely to encounter. This causes the host to still be able to feel and hear things around them as if they were fully awake (though their bodies are still paralyzed), and even be able to fully wake up whenever they wish. This also results in them not being able to feel things inside the dreamscape.

Heather City - Named after Donnie's mother, Heather City is the unofficial capital of Donnie's Dreamscape, and the largest city by far. The city is a natural structure that was birthed with The Dreamscape to house it's many future inhabitants. It is the home of The Masked Stalkee & Childhood.
