Khalid: I started listening to Khalid when his song "Better" came out in 2018. I was drawn to the laid-back vibes from his music and the lyrics that spoke to me. He inspires me to make music that has a beautiful message and nice vibes to just relax to. He is an R&B/Soul artist.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Although she is a politician for the Democratic party and not a singer, her conviction and confidence when speaking are inspiring. I want to do the same, making music that inspires others to do what they want and let them know they can reach for the stars.
Tayc: A Cameroonian-French singer, Tayc was the first artist I discovered with French lyrics and an African beat (central African, to be specific). I enjoy music from other nations and with different types of beats and melodies. As a French speaker, I would at some point also like to incorporate another language into my music.
Aya Nakamura: She is a Malian-French artist who also brings African beats to her music. I enjoy how she incorporates African dialect into her songs as well. It would be very cool to represent my Haitian heritage in that way, maybe implementing some Haitian-Creole words into my own music.
