I am a Senior Lecturer in Economics at Massey University, New Zealand. My research combines economic theory and empirical analysis, with a focus on international finance and open macroeconomics. I place strong value on economic theory as a foundation for rigorous analysis and critical thinking.
I received my PhD in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Prior to joining Massey University, I worked as a graduate student instructor and teaching assistant across a range of undergraduate courses in economics and business strategy.
At Massey, I teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in macroeconomics and econometrics. In my teaching, I integrate economic theory with empirical analysis. I emphasise the role of theory in developing critical thinking and in understanding the mechanisms underlying real-world economic outcomes.
I am involved in research supervision at Master’s and PhD levels, and regularly contribute to academic service within the School of Accountancy, Economics and Finance.
