Through to the effort and active participation of both the internal and external stakeholders such as the PTA, Alumni Association, Dongon Barangay Council, LGU, private entities and especially the teachers. Dongon National High School is at its best in providing quality education to the learners. Valuing quality education and producing competent graduates equipped with knowledge, skills, and values are the main goals of the school. The reason why it is evident that there are outstanding accomplishments in Dongon NHS is through the implementation of the different programs, projects and activities of the school which is considered the best practice in Dongon NHS. These are as follows:
SCHOOL-BASED MANAGEMENT
Dongon NHS, as School-Based Management (SBM) Level III, Division Level, plans to apply for SBM Level III-Regional Level. It started on the academic year 2019 when all the teaching and non-teaching workforce did its best to gather and prepare the documents needed for the validation. Series of LAC sessions on SBM retooling was conducted as well as attending Division-Based Orientation on SBM Level III Accreditation. As the whole DNHS family hopes to pass the evaluation, the stakeholders of the schools showed their enormous support by helping the school in any way possible. However, it could not be the lucky year for the school since unfortunately it was not included in the list of schools that will undergo validation presented by the Regional Validation Team. But, on the year 2020, the school continues to apply for re-evaluation. Another series of workshops on SBM Retooling in school was conducted, attended Regional Virtual Orientation on SBM, gathered and collected relevant documents in preparation for the 2nd validation. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic the Regional Validation Team did not push through with the validation. Currently, the school continues to prepare the documents needed for the year 2021 validation. DNHS family never losses hope to dream and to make the dream into reality.

The implementation of the CI project has brought positive impact to the students, the school and the division. For the sustainability, the school plans to continue the implementation of the CI project for the next school year since it is also applicable and timely in the new normal.
PROJECT STaRS (Students, Teachers, and Resilient Stakeholders)
Through to the initiative of the school’s administrators, Project STaRS aims to value and appreciate the contributions of the stakeholders. It also builds positivity and aspiration to one another as it recognizes one’s effort and dedication to the school which makes them continue doing great work. Most importantly, it is a key for an organization to continuously grow and prosper. As mentioned by O.C Tanner of Global Recognition and Culture “Making appreciation part of your workplace culture will inspire people to do incredible things. And experiencing success will cause them to be more engaged, committed and motivated”.
