Welcome!

Welcome to my website. I am Dr. Dongkyu Kim, an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). I study international and comparative political economy with a focus on quantitative analysis. In particular, I study the causes and consequences of economic globalization, focusing on foreign direct investment, social protest, conflict, inequality, political participation, social capital, and social trust. While pursuing my research, I have had the honor of serving as the Executive Chair of the Center for Survey Research & Policy Analysis (CSRPA) at UTRGV, the Interim Chair of the Department of Political Science at UTRGV. If you have any questions, please bring them to dongkyu.kim@utrgv.edu or csr@utrgv.edu. Here is my CV.
