Donghyun Lee
Hello, I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Economics Department at the University of Kansas.
My research interests are in Macroeconomics, Behavioral Economics (Hyperbolic Discounting), Public finance, Inequality, and Fiscal and Monetary policies.
I investigate the role of a time-inconsistent preference (self-control problem or present bias) on individual agents' behavioral mistakes in intertemporal decision-making choice and their effect on social output and welfare.
I analyze these topics from a macroeconomic view including inflation, economic growth, aggregate output or saving, etc, and want to extend my interest to the environment and inequality problem. I also contribute to figuring out proper solutions to behavioral mistakes by providing government policy design rules in my research.
Please find my CV here.
