Donaldson Real Estate School was originally founded in 1974 by our beloved founder, C. Fred Donaldson. His passion was education and fair access to all, a mission we still strive to obtain each and every day. Followed by his son Keith Donaldson in 1980, Donaldson continued to grow as an educational resource in the Louisiana market. Adding professions such as insurance, mortgage, and home inspection to its already popular real estate and appraisal programs showed that Donaldson could maintain its quality and spread its mission to professionals in a wide variety of industries.

As the times have changed, so have we. Chris Donaldson is a real estate broker, popular keynote speaker, teacher, business coach, entrepreneur, and a leadership expert. A businessman with a teacher’s heart, everything Chris touches begins and ends with the goal of helping you achieve what you want.

Jumping into the world of real estate while still just a college student, he quickly transitioned his love of teaching to become one of the youngest certified real estate instructors ever in his home state of Louisiana. Now the CEO of Donaldson Educational Services, Founder/CEO of Donaldson Training Solutions and active real estate broker his daily mission is to make YOUR life and career better.

Passion and enthusiasm to help others is evident in everything Chris touches. Whether that simply means helping you obtain that new license you desire, making sure you understand your license requirements, compliance and continuing education, or doing his part to help you excel with “next level” training to help you succeed – it is all under the umbrella of the businesses and efforts Chris works on each day. Mortgage Lending

Appraisal

We have found no better way to pass the Louisiana Residential or General Appraisal Exam than to spend two whole days, 15 hours, reviewing all of the information they may ask you on the test with one of our knowledgeable Instructors!!!! Can you imagine a better way to study?!! We find a review course to be an excellent way to prepare for a state exam, especially if you have been out of class for some time. Insurance Licensing

In order to sell insurance in Louisiana, a person must obtain a license from the Louisiana Department of Insurance. There are two major types of insurance licenses: The Life, Health & Accident Producer License and the Property and Casualty Producer License. The Life, Health & Accident Producer License authorizes you to sell life, health, disability and long term care insurance, annuities, and related coverage. The Property and Casualty Producer License allows you to sell auto and homeowner’s insurance, workman’s compensation, as well as commercial property and liability coverage.

Applicants for either license are required to attend 40 hours of pre-license education, apply to for a license through the state chartered licensing system, and pass the license examination.
