A “Campus to Corporate – Professional Placement Training” program was organized for final year MBA students on 27-02-2026 in collaboration with Feather Softwares. The session was conducted by Ms. Jenifer R, HR Representative from Feather Softwares, Nagercoil.
The training focused on preparing students for corporate careers by covering essential topics such as interview skills, resume preparation and optimization, key skills to highlight in resumes, and LinkedIn profile creation and visibility enhancement. An interactive mock interview session was also conducted to provide practical exposure and personalized feedback.
Session on “Logistics Opportunities” and Regional Best Manager Preliminary Selection
A session on “Logistics Opportunities” was organised for the BBA students on 08-12-2025, led by Mr. S. S. Praveen, Program Coordinator, GIIMS, Trivandrum. The session was conducted with the objective of providing students with insights into emerging career opportunities and industry trends in the logistics sector.
The session was followed by the Regional Best Manager (BM) Preliminary Selection, where students actively participated and demonstrated their managerial skills, analytical abilities, and leadership potential. Ms. Stephiya Sam Kumar. S, III BBA, was shortlisted for the main Best Manager event. The programme was informative and engaging, offering students valuable exposure to both industry knowledge and competitive managerial assessment.
A webinar on “Stock Markets & Financial Awareness” was organised on 05-11-2025 under the sponsorship of National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL). The session commenced through an online platform and was attended enthusiastically by students from the BBA and MBA programmes.
The interactive session helped students gain a practical perspective on managing personal finances and understanding the dynamics of stock trading. Overall, it was an enriching and informative experience that inspired students to develop greater awareness and confidence in financial planning and investment.
Finance Club Seminar
The Department of Management Studies organized a seminar on behalf of the Finance Club titled “Ignite Your Future: A Guide for the Young Investor” on 09-10-2025.
The session was led by Mr. Ramiah K, Branch Incharge of Angel One Ltd., Nagercoil, who delivered an engaging and insightful introduction to stock markets, investment fundamentals, and beginner-friendly trading strategies. Through his practical approach and interactive discussions, he simplified complex financial concepts, helping students gain the confidence to make informed investment decisions and take their first steps toward financial independence.
The Department of Management Studies PGDOMSSA & Research organised a workshop on "Soft Skills for Managerial Excellence" from 06-10-2025 to 08-10-2025.
The three-day workshop was led by Mr. M. R. Cyril Xavier, HRD Trainer, Psychologist, Students Motivator, and Former Assistant General Manager, BSNL.
The sessions were thoughtfully structured to enhance essential managerial competencies among students: Day 1: Goal Setting – focused on developing clarity, vision, and purpose-driven leadership. Day 2: Creativity – encouraged students to think innovatively and explore problem-solving through creative approaches. Day 3: Emotional Intelligence – emphasized self-awareness, empathy, and emotional balance as key traits of effective managers.
The workshop provided students with valuable insights, equipping them with vital soft skills required for managerial excellence.
EDC Club Entrepreneur Talk
The Department of Management Studies (MBA) & Research, along with the Entrepreneur Development Club (EDC), organised an Entrepreneur Talk on 18-09-2025.
The session featured Dr. R.R. Suresh Kumar, Managing Director of Suresh Fashion Jewellery Group, Marthandam who shared his entrepreneurial journey, challenges, and the importance of confidence in business. He also appreciated MBA student entrepreneurs — Shanu Mon R, Selvin P, Prathisha V, Lincy Mol C, Nithish Kumar N S, Rashika R, Prabin R, and Halima Banu S — and awarded them Appreciation certificates.
The talk was inspiring and thought-provoking, encouraging students to nurture innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial excellence.

The session featured distinguished speakers Ms. Santhiya C and Ms. Benisha S, Technical Trainers, along with Mr. Antony Johith Joles, Software Developer at G-TEC Computer Education, Marthandam.
The session provided students with motivational insights on entrepreneurial thinking and career development. The speakers emphasized the importance of understanding ERP systems, highlighting how integrating AI and ERP technologies can open up vast opportunities for future careers.

The session featured Mr. Antony Sabariyor, Account Supervisor at Core42, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE, and a proud alumnus of the BBA 2013 batch.
Addressing the MBA students, Mr. Sabariyor shared his valuable life experiences and highlighted the skills required to enter and excel in diverse sectors. The session was highly interactive, providing students with practical insights into career building, adaptability, and the importance of continuous learning
HR Club Ludzie-2k25 Expert Talk
The Department of Management Studies (MBA) organized an Expert Talk under the HR Club Ludzie-2k25 on 10-09-2025.
The session featured Mr. Surej J. Puthuveettil, Assistant Professor, who carries over 20 years of teaching experience in Management and Soft Skills, including 10 years as an Assistant Professor. In his address, Mr. Surej focused on the theme “A Manager – Roles, Responsibilities, and Skills.” He highlighted the evolving role of managers, the importance of leadership and decision-making, and the key skills required for future-ready professionals.

The session featured Mr. Steny P.S, Project Specialist, DSV Air & Sea PVT LTD, Chennai, MBA 2018–2020 batch alumnus, as the distinguished speaker. Drawing from his academic journey and professional experience, Mr. Steny delivered an insightful talk that emphasized the practical aspects of logistics management, industry trends, and strategies for career development in the Logistics sector.
PG DOMS Student Association Inauguration
The Postgraduate DOMS Student Association Inauguration for the academic year 2025-26 was held with great enthusiasm on 06-08-2025.
The event was graced by JFS K.S. Shibi, Zone President – 2024, Zone 18 JCI India, and Managing Director of PPK Groups, Marthandam, as the Chief Guest.
