Welcome, as a small group of grade eight students in Brampton, Canada, we are coming together to find ways to spread awareness and notice of this rising climate issue. 

Our recent additions to our action towards this project are that we've emailed several organizations regarding the urban heat islands effect and are looking forward to a response to collaborate and get the assistance we need on this journey.

 To add on, we've contacted our area councillors for them to also play a part in our project and possibly do things for our area to increase greenery and decrease sun absorption from urbanized builds.

We have also created a presentation to inform younger learners on the factors of the UHI effect and will be presenting to them so they can be come a part of this project and help spread awareness with us.
