THE SHORT VERSION
Garage does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on any server. There is no account, no sign-in, and no analytics. Everything you enter stays on your device.
WHAT GARAGE STORES, AND WHERE
When you use Garage you may enter vehicle details, odometer readings, fuel and service records, costs, notes, reminder dates, and photographs. All of this is written to a private database inside the app's own storage area on your device.
It is not uploaded anywhere. It is not shared with us or with any third party. We cannot see it, because it never leaves your phone.
If you uninstall Garage, this data is deleted by the operating system along with the app. Use the backup feature first if you want to keep it.
PERMISSIONS THE APP ASKS FOR
Photos and media - only to attach images you explicitly choose to a vehicle or an entry. Garage does not scan or read your photo library otherwise.
Camera - only when you tap Camera to take a photo for a record.
Notifications - only to show reminders you created yourself, at the time you chose. Reminders are scheduled locally on the device; no server sends them.
You can decline or revoke any of these in your device settings. Garage keeps working without them; only the related feature stops.
BACKUPS AND EXPORTS
Garage can export your data as a JSON, CSV, or report file. These files are created on your device and handed to your operating system's share sheet. Where they go from there - a cloud drive, an email, a messaging app - is entirely your choice and governed by whichever service you pick. Garage does not send them anywhere on its own.
PURCHASES
Garage Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Google; Garage never sees or stores your payment details. The app records only whether the unlock has been purchased, and that record is stored on your device.
ANALYTICS, ADVERTISING AND TRACKING
There are none. Garage contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no tracking of any kind. No advertising identifier is read. No usage data is collected.
CHILDREN
Garage is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Because it collects no data at all, it collects none from children either.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published at this same address with an updated date. Because the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a change in practice.
