The plot of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint (ORV) revolves around Kim Dokja, an ordinary office worker whose only real passion is reading a web novel titled Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse. One day, the novel’s events begin to happen in real life, and because he is the only person who has read the entire novel, Kim Dokja has knowledge that others don't, making him essential to navigating the dangerous, apocalyptic world. As the story unfolds, Kim Dokja uses his insight from the novel to influence events, prevent catastrophic outcomes, and interact with the novel’s main characters, including Yoo Joonghyuk, the original protagonist. Along the way, Kim Dokja learns that he is not just an observer, but also a key player whose role may alter the fate of this world. The narrative explores themes of survival, fate, and the blurred lines between fiction and reality, with plenty of action, strategy, and emotional depth.

Kim Dokja allies with Yoo Joonghyuk, the protagonist of Ways of Survival, in order to change the novel's original plot and more quickly approach the end of the story. As Kim Dokja and his party members progress through the scenarios, they face increasingly difficult threats and life-or-death challenges, struggling to stay alive and work together as they aim to destroy the <Star Stream> that demands their suffering.
