Graduation 2018

Staff,

Please read the information below carefully in regard to the logistics pertaining to graduation rehearsal, transportations, and the graduation ceremony.

Graduation Rehearsal (Tuesday, May 22) for STAFF:

ONLY staff members that have volunteered to participate in graduation are required to attend the Staff Rehearsal. You will receive an email confirming that you are expected to attend staff rehearsal from Ms. Bostic on Monday, May 21.
Volunteer Staff will leave from Main Campus at 9:30am.
- If you need class coverage, Ms. Miller will make arrangements for you on Monday, May 21 and notify you via email.
- The Dohn van will be available to transport the staff to and from rehearsal. The van seats up to 15 passengers and will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Staff members can also opt to drive themselves to Taft for Rehearsal.
Staff Rehearsal will take place from 10:00-11:30am at the Taft on Tuesday, May 22.
After Staff Rehearsal has concluded, staff will stay to assist with student graduation practice. After student rehearsal has finished, staff may either ride the van/bus back to Main campus or may drive themselves back to their locations.
**It is suggested that staff pack a lunch to take with them to rehearsal, as staff will be at rehearsal from 9:30-2:00pm.

Graduation Rehearsal (Tuesday, May 22) for STUDENTS:

Students will leave from Main Campus at 11:30am (with selected staff to monitor). There will be 2 busses available to transport students.
Student Rehearsal is from 12:00-2:00pm.
Students (who are returning to Main campus) will leave Taft Theater to return to Main Campus when rehearsal has concluded (no later than 2:00pm).

Directions for Staff Regarding Gowns:

All staff are expected to attend graduation AND are expected to wear black gowns.
Staff may opt to wear their own gown OR may borrow a gown from Dohn.
- If staff would like to borrow a gown from Dohn, they can be picked up from Ms. Krehbiel in room 124 at Main on either:
  - Friday, May 18 between 2:15-3:15pm
  - Monday, May 21 between 2:15-3:15pm
Staff are expected to return their gowns to Ms. Krehbiel in room 124 at Main on either:
- Wednesday, May 23 between 2:15-3:15pm
- Thursday, May 24 between 2:15-3:15pm

Directions for Staff Regarding Tickets:

All staff are expected to attend graduation and MUST have a Taft Ticket to gain entry to the theater. Staff should collect their Taft Ticket from the counselor at their location on Monday, May 21 before the end of the day.

- Fitness: Ms. Egbert
- Melrose: Mr. Gunning
- South: Ms. Elmore
- North: Mr. Dryden

Graduation Night for VOLUNTEER Staff:

Volunteer staff are expected to wear gowns and will need Taft Tickets to enter the theater.
Volunteer Staff are expected to arrive to Taft no later than 5:45pm on Tuesday, May 22.
- There will be a bus leaving Main Campus at 5:15pm to go to Taft Theater. All staff have the opportunity to ride the bus. However, passengers will be permitted to ride on a first-come-first serve basis.
  - Any staff member that rides the bus down will receive a bus ticket once they enter the bus. They will need this bus ticket to get back on the bus to return to Main campus after graduation has concluded.
- Staff also have the option of driving themselves to graduation. Directions & parking information can be found here: http://tafttheatre.org/info
Once Volunteer Staff have arrived at Taft, they are to check-in with Ms. Bostic.
Busses will return to pick-up both staff and students at 8:15pm to transport staff and students to Main campus. Staff and students MUST have bus ticket from earlier in the evening to ride the bus back to Main.
Once the 8:15pm bus has come back to Main, they will make one final trip to Taft to shuttle any remaining staff and students to Main campus. Staff and students MUST have a bus ticket from earlier in the evening to ride the bus back to Main.

Graduation Night for Staff only ATTENDING Graduation:

Staff that are only ATTENDING the event (not volunteering to assist in the graduation) are expected to arrive to Taft no later than 6:15pm on Tuesday, May 22.
Staff that are attending are expected to wear gowns and will need Taft Tickets to enter the theater.
- There will be a bus leaving Main Campus at 5:15pm to go to Taft Theater. All staff have the opportunity to ride the bus. However, passengers will be permitted to ride on a first-come-first serve basis.
  - Any staff member that rides the bus down will receive a bus ticket once they enter the bus. They will need this bus ticket to get back on the bus to return to Main campus after graduation has concluded.

- Once staff have arrived at Taft, report downstairs to check in with Ms. Bostic and for further directions.

Attention Staff: If you are interested in attending and/or volunteering in this year's graduation, please fill-out the form below no later than Monday, May 14, 2018.

Please keep in mind:

--Graduation is Tuesday, May 22 at 7pm at Taft.

--If you want to volunteer you MUST also plan to attend graduation practice Tuesday, May 22 from 10am-2pm.

--If you just want to attend graduation and sit in the staff section you do NOT need to attend graduation practice.
