I have enjoyed an eclectic career inside and outside of academia based on my talents for communication - oral and written, formal and personal. I have fifteen years experience teaching at colleges and universities and several more years teaching children and adults. I have received teaching awards as well as research grants. I am a published author and currently working on a history of Lowell, Massachusetts. I do consulting work for textbook companies, online learning, and proofreading and editing manuscripts. I consult with global businesses on projects which involve both internal and external communications, including translating from German to English. I teach history and business communications.
